These folks have the best kiln dried firewood in all of mid-coast Maine.

I have been purchasing wood from Reed’s for a few years and could not be more pleased with the quality of the wood and the service. Calls are returned promptly and wood is delivered precisely on time. Don’t delay in contacting them though as they book quickly for deliveries!

Ordered a cord of kiln dried wood last year, let it dry outside for an additional 10 months and it still won't burn. If you have a catalyst in your stove, don't order from here. Delivery was quoted in March and it showed up in Feb but on the same date, so they misquoted the delivery. That would have been fine, but since I was expecting them to show late in the season, I had to order wood from a different vendor in the meantime.

almost every stick is hardwood. Cut to the 14" I requested. (darn little Yodel)So dry you could hear it ring as it hit the driveway. Enough smaller pieces to act as kindling, but not slash. Delivered almost to he hour as promised. This is my 5th or 6th order. could not be more pleased.

Ordered 14" seasoned wood and received 8-17" green wood. The first load in the house has been behind the big cookstove for a week but still won't catch. The multiple month wait coupled with the extremely poor quality wood means we will never buy from here again. I really don't know how they had such good reviews.

As a first time customer and new implant to the New England, I'm very happy to have shopped at Reed's. Tracy patiently answered all my rookie questions, reserved my delivery spot months in advance, and Paul made a timely delivery. I've used quite a few different firewood bundles from hardware stores and supermarkets. Reed's product is highly superior to all of them, catches on fire so quick, I don't need a wax or any other fire starters. I bought the kiln-dried cord of firewood, keep it stacked up in the basement. It costs slightly more to other product options, but definitely worth it.

Perhaps all the positive reviews here are from long term customers of Reeds, and perhaps the long term customers get better wood? This was my first delivery of wood from them, and I was really disappointed.First, yes when you order they warn you that "you should really get Kiln dried", but wow that is expensive. I ordered, and paid market price for, seasoned wood, but it seems I got green un-seasoned wood. This is the crappiest delivery of seasoned wood I have ever received. It seems less than a cord, it is completely green and somewhat moldy. The green wood I got last year from the woodbank was so much better and drier and cheaper than this stuff. Won't order again.

The service and the wood is excellent. It was also a treat to watch the driver deposit the wood on the exact spot in the driveway. I don’t know how he did that. Getting ready to order my cord for Winter 2020.PSAlso...all the folks you deal with are delightfully pleasant.

We have been burning wood for years and have been very impressed with the wood we purchase from Paul Reed. It's clean, just the right dryness, size and a cord always looks like it's more than a cord (unlike the other wood we used to buy before) One year we saw Reeds truck going by and called them! That was several years back and we've never been disappointed. Always comes the day scheduled and neatly puts the pile in the best spot for us. Highly recommend Tracey & Paul are professionals in the wood business.
