I’d highly recommend this moving company, 5/5 without second questioning it. They were quick, on time, very helpful with our move. They wore masks, were nice to my family. I had a lot of very nice furniture, and there was no damage to anything I own. The best in the biz.

American Relocation was the best choice for this move. This was my first time using movers. They explained everything to me thoroughly. They wouldn’t let me help with anything, they assured me they would handle everything, and all I had to do was relax. They were kind enough to provide packing supplies for the things I did not pack properly. They were professional, prompt, and extremely polite. Additionally they set my whole apartment up at the conclusion of the move. Victor, Darius, and Tqbu were amazing. If you go with this company, ask for them. You will not be disappointed.

I had an unpleasant experience with this moving company, not with the movers, but with sales & billing and I suggest everyoneto read the fine print of contract because a sale representative and manager can tell you whatever they want over the phone and not follow the contractual agreement created by their own company.Simply put, I got an estimate for a small move of 22 items approximately (furniture). I did one quote online and since I didn’t get response the following day, I then proceeded to call the company for an immediate quote and pay a deposit of $50. After speaking over the phone with the sales rep, I was quoted with a “based on the items that you have, it would take a minimum of 4 hours”. I never thought it would take that much time, but who I am to judge the speed of the movers (they could elderly). A couple of days later, I received the Online quote response from manager with a lower rate and a estimated minimum of 3 hours of work. I figured that because of that I would probably pay for 1 hour less if the move only takes 3 hours. At the end of the move, which it took exactly 3 hours, they expected me to pay for 4 hours (one extra hour of no work) as the estimated quote received by the sales rep alleging the minimum was 4 hours. I grabbed the contractual agreement and started reading it. These excerpts are exactly from it:“*The estimate that you have received is based on the information provided by you to our representative. The total estimated charges are not a guarantee of the final total charges- which may increase or decrease based upon actual services performed, the number of items shipped and the number of hours worked.Local move charges are based upon the hourly rate. The first element is labor time with a minimum of 3 hours of labor on any move. The labor time begins from the initial arrival time at your first location and covers the total time of the move (loading, driving to a new location, unloading) “So as you can see, the total charges can either increase or decreased based on the number of hours worked. Their contract says it’s a minimum of 3 hours, which on my case it was. It took multiple calls from for over a week speaking with the sales rep and trying to get the manager to call me. When I finally asked the number of the manager and I called, she again mentioned the minimum of 4 hours, which I emphatically pointed to what it said on the contractual agreement. You cannot claim ignorance of what the contract says (you work for the company). I finally got a refund for an hour, but the left me a sour taste on my mouth. In all conscience, I cannot recommend this company.

I have missing items (very expensive large mirror that has been in my family for decades) as well as a key to my apartment that I was never given back. The price was almost twice what I was quoted since they took an extremely long time to slowly slowly load my items in the truck. I had a small 800sq 2 bedroom apartment. It took 4 hours for them to just load the truck. I noticed a lot of time was spent just on their phone or sitting around. For something that cost $119hr I find this not ok.Additionally, there was a huge language barrier, my family speaks fluent English and Spanish, I’m not sure what language they spoke but the inability to communicate very much made everything much more difficult.Lastly, i paid for 3 movers, one of them seem to be the leader and just ‘managed’ things, aka told me why I needed to pay almost twice as much as well as mostly stood around. The rudeness on top of the high price and then the loss of items especially my home key, it was a very negative experience. Would not recommend. Im a disabled veteran and have moved many times, all around the world, this was the worst experience with moving I have had.

I wrote an earlier review of this company on October 5. It took many calls and a lot of time to eventually get them to agree to move the piano into the house. They promised four guys who had experience in moving pianos, only to have the same two guys show up with an additional two guys that they had found on Craigslist. The two men from Craigslist were professional and courteous. The two movers from American Relocation were less than so. One of them tried to pressure my husband into taking our review down and wanted to take a picture of him doing so.I would avoid this company both for the quality of their service and their bad attitude.Too bad I can’t recommend the Craigslist guys!

Definitely disappointed. When I called for a quote it was very reasonably priced. However once they came the guys were not very knowledgeable about how to move furniture and were not having the appropriate tools. Other movers I’ve used bring impact tools to do it fast, these guys were relying on manual tools to do it (slow, probably to keep the clock ticking as it is charged hourly). Also I have a large sofa which while attempting to bring in they couldn’t (this couch has been brought in to two apartments before with no big concerns). Of course they left the wall full of marks they I’ll need to repaint. And after they failed on the task as a last resort I asked them to leave it in the garage so that I could check them out and stop their charges. They looked like rookies. Also they were very pushy for tips (which luckily I didn’t give).Do yourself a favor and don’t use this company

This company is amazing & I have used them 5 times- but this time with Sardor & his crew were the best! Fast & job perfection. I’m shocked at the focus each of them had & the respect they showed myself & husband - also the team work between them was most respectful. As a business owner myself - I saw & totally caught their professionalism, friendly nature & politeness.I would suggest all to use the company - last Dec my firefighter son & family were expediently moved.American Relocation with Crystal & Michelle behind the helm is the best.Heather CameronChesapeake Beach Md

I do not recommend this company. You may think you’re getting a good deal with this company but you’re not. My movers damaged several pieces of furniture and broke a light fixture. It took me several weeks to get some money back to pay for repairs and it only covered a fraction of what I needed. I also was quoted for one price and then was charged for several other things on the day of the move. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Very friendly and professional. The process was easy and affordable. The movers were on time and got everything moved in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend and also use their services again for my next move

Terrific price, great service. Expertly loaded and unloaded. For less than the price of a box truck, I was spared the heavy lifting, the 15 hr. drive, and the unloading.

This people were on time. Got my belongings from point A to B. However, the whole experience was uncomfortable and unpleasant. They had an attitude the whole time. One of the movers wanted to charge me extra ($100) for a bookshelf that it was not heavy. They complained about everything: whether my storage unit was on the second floor, whether they have to walk a lot throughout the hallway to get to my place. Note that you have to pay them right when the truck (with your belongings) parks at point B. Besides that, the person on the phone told me that the movers could help me to put a glass top on my dinning table and set up my bed. However, the movers also had an attitude about it. On top of that, one of them started to ask me personal questions (e.g., whether I have a boyfriend or married) and checked out the women in my building. The other mover gave me his phone number...LOL! I complained about all this, but I dont even know whether the company did something. The lady on the phone told me that she was going to call me back, but she never did.

I'm related to someone who recently contracted this company for relocation services. When my sister inquired about the charges that were above what she was quoted during her move, this company accused her of not wanting to pay and threatened to take her belongings. I'm shocked at the unprofessional behavior including sexual harassment (employees making inappropriate advances towards my sister by asking to come to her house later) and the company sending a stranger to physically intimidate my sister. It is clear this company attempts to take advantage of single women. We have filed a police report because the company sent a stranger to my sister's house where he literally threatened to punch her - all caught on video. The police officer himself was beside himself and was helpful in directing my sister on next steps. Luckily, I have some strong connections and I am helping my sister pursue legal action. Normally, I wouldn't write a review based on someone else's experience but I'm appalled that this type of behavior is supported by this so called corporation. Just read the "corporate responses" on this thread - completely unprofessional. I don't care if my sister cursed out the entire crew (which she would be well within her right given the treatment she was subjected to), a company should never defend this type of behavior. It's 2021 and this kind of blatant disrespect and misogyny will not be tolerated.UPDATE:Read the corporate response. This company is a joke. I urge you to read the negative reviews carefully on this site and BBB. There is a common theme you will find across many dissatisfied customers - this company's unethical ways of pulling the old "bait and switch" is a tactic they use to fleece people for as much money as they can. When my sister called them out on this, that's when this company decided to threaten to withhold her belongings. So yes, she screamed and argued because the company tried to take her stuff after their bullying tactics of trying to force my sister into paying for services that she didn't ask for didn't work. How do I know? I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HER. I HEARD IT ALL. My sister even asked one of the employees, "see, did you see where he threatened to hit me?" And this was the "manager" that was sent to her house? Actually, I HOPE that you have that all on tape. I can assure you this is not a case of "he said, she said." My sister has evidence. We are not worried.Furthermore, if this company's employees were being harassed and treated so poorly, why weren't the authorities called to de-escalate the situation? Because it's simply not true. My sister had to call the police because she was the one being threatened. Like I said, hop over to BBB. You'll find another incident involving this company where the police were called. And attorneys had to get involved.Bottom line, writing a truthful review is not harassment. This company has crossed a line that should have never been crossed. I've truthfully stated that I have not used any of the company's services personally. But I will not put up with anyone trying to take advantage of my sister, let alone a man balling up his fist motioning like he's going to punch her in the face. Completely unbelievable. Like seriously, why would we make this up? I can assure anyone reading this review, the best outcome here would have been for American Relocation to honor the contract my sister signed by executing the services agreed upon. That didn't happen so here we are having to go through all of this. Unbelievable.
