I would give 0 stars if I was able to. While the staff is kind. The store is disgusting. There is trash, used bandaids, and very messy shelves. The main reason I am leaving this review is the status of the bathroom. Overall, CVS has atrocious bathrooms across the board. I would rather go in the woods than walk into a public CVS bathroom. You could smell the bathroom before you even opened the door. I opened the door and there was literally human feces all of the toilet, walls around the toilet, and the floor. It was also clear that the bathroom was a storage closet as well. This means that they are selling products that potentially have fecal matter on them. This is not just management negligence. This is a public health issue

Tried to get my prescription from the pharmacy at 9:15am on a Wednesday, and despite clearly posted hours starting at 9am, no one had arrived and the pharmacy was dark and firmly closed.

Low inventory; overwhelmed staff who treat customers poorly, messy stores with unshelved inventory everywhere; another corporation putting profits above service!

A friend suggested we should call for an appointment at CVS Sangamore
for flu, Covid, and RSV shots.
Called. I was told they do not do telephone appointments. Just just walk in.
Walked in Thursday, October 3 nice fellow behind the counter said no spaces for shots available. Come back 4pm tomorrow with your Medicare card.
Returned October 4 at 4 PM with Medicare card and lady behind the counter said she did not want to see our Medicare cards.. She wanted the name of our insurance company. Told her Kaiser..
Signs in the parking lot said free shots.
Lady behind the counter said they do not accept Kaiser. I showed her my Medicare health insurance card with medical part B. She said no. She did not want to see that and that we must get our shots at Kaiser and also CVS does not do RSV shots. She also said have a nice day.

Slowest pharmacy ever and the pharmacists have no clue what’s going on. Had a rx sent over at 12 and wasn’t even in their system 2 hours later. Now I’m sitting here waiting for them to put pills in a bottle which will take another 30 minutes.

Understaffed. Likely a corporate issue. Time-consuming if you need help finding something (because understaffed). Can't say much else for the place.

The workers at this CVS have been put in an impossible position. They're severely understaffed and bear the brunt of medication shortage frustrations. So this is nothing against them. I've been hung up on mid-sentence more than once (by one pharmacist in particular — and I promise I'm not a Karen, I worked in retail too long to do that to anyone). Again, likely because of the pressure of being understaffed and having a million other things to do. But whew. Something has to change. If anyone from CVS who's in the union is reading this: Y'all desperately need a better staffing provision in your contract! I feel awful for how much pressure is put on everyone behind the counter simply because management can't figure out how to staff the place. I'm moving all of my scripts to an independent pharmacy, but sincerely hope things improve for everyone, staff and patients alike.

The store itself isn't that bad; it's pretty standard for a CVS in terms of what they stock and customer service. The pharmacy however, is legitimately terrible. The pharmacists are rude and the assistants don't seem to have the basic skills necessary to do their jobs. Prescriptions are never filled on time and sometimes require 2-3 trips back before you can get your medicine. Avoid at all costs.

The location is convenient and the parking lot has plenty of space but the customer service here is very lacking...during my latest visit at the self checkout the cashier was very impatient and rude when I let him know another customer was having trouble at the machine next to mine (I had tried to help but wasn't successful). On another occasion I had asked for help getting an item from one of the locked shelves and the store associate insisted I could not use the self checkout after unlocking the shelf and obtaining the item for me. There was a customer waiting in the full service lane but this associate still insisted I had to go to the full service counter. I asked another employee later if this was standard procedure (not to allow customers to use the self checkout when purchasing an item from the locked shelves) but he said no--this second employee was much more helpful and courteous than the others I've encountered. It's a strange store but I still go here when I need to pick up essentials once in awhile.
