Staff insisted on keeping my one item I intended on buying up front while I continued to quickly browse the store (even though my hands were not full and I had no problem holding the item)- soon after, the patrons and I heard a large crash of something breaking. It was not until I waited 5+ minutes in line to pay for my item that I was told that unfortunately it was broken. That was the last of that item in the store as well, which is beyond frustrating. All I was told was "sorry" and was offered no consolation whatsoever. I will not be returning here based on flippant customer service.

We got the cutest cape cod kitchen towel. Staff was friendly and had a great assortment of stuff. Will come back again!

Such a cute store with so many unique and thoughtful gifts! I got my mom some birthday gifts here and they were so welcoming even though the new store front wasn't fully open yet. Definitely will go back!

I LOVE this shop - great selection of carefully curated, quality items and helpful staff. Gift wrapping (Blue House bag with tissue paper and curled ribbon) is festive and complimentary. One of my favorite spots to shop for hostess gifts.

The Blue House is AMAZING! We needed a Bethesda-themed gift for a friend that moved to Florida and was homesick. Connie is a beautiful spirit and helped us find the cutest gifts. We will definitely return to this beautiful and eclectic shop for all our gift needs.

Just moved to Bethesda a few months ago and stumbled in here the other day. It reminds me of a boutique you'd find down the shore. I was so impressed with their selection, and contrary to the outdated reviews, the ladies were SO nice to myself and my neighbor. It was a welcome dose of warmth here :)

Such a lovely store full of options with the cutest gifts and souvenirs for any occasion. Great customer service, everything is so pretty is hard to focus on one thing. Their Christmas section is on 50% off, also you can find a couple of souvenirs from places like DC too. Don’t miss the baby and pet’s sections, they are adorable. Thank you ladies

I don't live in the DMV, but every time I visit family, I come to see what they have. The people who work there are always welcoming and helpful. I always find something I want, even if I don't need it. I have recently ordered something for my family as I won't be traveling back to MD this Christmas and the clerk couldn't have been kinder. It's a small store so requests to leave drinks outside or at the door & prohibitions on cell phones seem completely appropriate to me. I am so over listening to other folks cell phone conversations.

Super cute store and one of the only places to buy interesting gifts in Bethesda. The staff has always been extremely helpful to me...I can describe a person and they invariably come up with a nice gift idea. Creative, diverse array of stock. It is pricey, but I'm sure the rent is high, and the prices are not crazy.
