The vets and techs at LVP have taken great care of our three dogs throughout their lives. It's a popular place - pretty much always busy - but it's worth the wait and despite the busy-ness, we never feel rushed when meeting with the vets or techs. They are a great team and provide great care for our pups!

First time for me and my two Birmans. We saw Dr. Fitzpatrick for annual health check. He was thorough, gentle, and open. Appreciated the help w/transporting two cats inside as I am a senior. Feeling confident with a competent and affordable veterinary practice. Bonus: such gorgeous surroundings!

My mom has been taking our family dogs and cats here since I was a child, 20 years later and I take my own cat here now. Very down to earth and trusting vet practice... especially for surgery procedures.

The front desk staff were able to squeeze in an nail trim appointment for my daughter's bunny, and were so nice throughout that process and when we checked in.The vet tech who clipped the bunny's nails was so sweet with him and made it super quick. We highly recommend Laytonsville Veterinary Practice as a result of the excellent customer service and care we received before and during this appointment.

You guys are the best! You take the best care of our pups, and Shep actually gets excited to come to the vet and see all of his favorite people. Your care, thoroughness, attentiveness, and bedside manner (especially with the nervous dog parents) are unmatched!

Dr. Dicello is pawsome! She is excellent at seeking to find the root cause -- is it physical or behavioral. We were so worried about Finn because he was drinking so much water. He has the best-enriched life & we thought the worst but after tests, it was confirmed behavioral. I appreciate a vet who considers my dog's mental health which is just as critical as physical health. Thank you Dr. Dicello!!!!

I have a service dog and wouldn’t want him in anyone else’s care. Laytonsville Veterinary Practice was kind and took their time with us. The doc called later in the evening to follow up and that dedication is truly appreciated.

Absolutely adored my visit. Felt extremely welcomed for my first time and everyone was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and warm. The pricing is very fair and very consumer-friendly and made both me and my rabbit feel assured. Definite recommend.

Laytonsville is a fantastic veterinary clinic and did everything they could to help my sick little kitten. I've known Dr. MacKnight for a long time, and she was extremely compassionate and communicative, giving me updates on my little one throughout her stay and trying to make the best recommendations for her care while still taking into consideration my financial constraints. Everyone on staff did everything they could, and Skylar (a lovely tech) was even willing to come in overnight to monitor my little baby if I couldn't get her to a 24-hour animal hospital. Even though my little one ultimately didn't make it, I have 100% confidence that everyone at Laytonsville did right by her, and I highly recommend the practice for anyone's pets.

I have a westie. About 3 weeks ago, I took him here because he was vomiting and didn't have an interest in eating. After bloodwork, it was revealed his liver enzymes were extremely high. So, I was sent home with medication and had a follow-up to see if the medication was working. During the waiting period, I did extensive research and found it is common in westies to have liver disease from copper accumulation. I mentioned this during the follow-up and was rushed out (without all the medication I needed) of my appointment because (later to find out) the doctor wanted to leave early that day. After my appointment, I sent a message referencing scientific papers about westies and copper accumulation, and that reflected all the signs and symptoms my dog is currently having... and requesting the correct medication. It's been 4 days, I've been calling constantly and have left multiple messages, and Dr. Giosa still has not got back to me regarding the heavy metal medication he actually needs. I even asked the front desk to engage in a different provider, with no results. I'm slowly watching my dog die, and they can not even give me the courtesy of reading and replying to a message.

Laytonsville Veterinart Practice has to be hands down the best we have been to so far. Their Veterinarians and Vet techs have been very kind, helpful and informative in their care of both my dogs, Roxie and Buddy. I definitely recommend Laytonsville Veterinary Practice to anyone in the area with pets.

I'm not typically a review person but the level of care and compassion at Laytonsville is next level. The entire team is fantastic. I have a dog, Roo, who is extremely anxious at the vet and all of the practice goes above and beyond to make my baby feel comfortable (or as comfortable as she can be). I'd like to personally advocate for Dr.MacKnight, who genuinely radiates passion for the wellbeing of animals. Roo has become a frequent visitor amidst a sad cancer diagnosis and other things-- Dr.MacKnight always takes her time, explains things well to a non medical person like myself, and really truly just cares. While going to the vet isn't really all that fantastic I feel so confident with the care my dog receives. My dog being the frequent flyer has seen Dr.Fitzpatrick (who removed Roo's tumor), Dr.Godwin, and most frequently of all, Dr.MacKnight.They are all fantastic but supremely special shout out to the entire team. I really can't even thank them all enough for continuing to care for and treat my dogs like they're not just patients-- but family.
