“Impressive selection of clothes, toys, and housewares. Easy to donate items and you get a coupon when you do so. Took off a star because there are no dressing rooms. Will definitely return!”

“So many wonderful finds, I bought 3 prs of shoes, a vest & 2 pairs of pants... all in near new condition. The employees are curdious, helpful, & cheerful. The store is packed with great finds, huge (a double store) but not cluttered. It's well organized even with customers that don't respect how hard it is to keep a place like this neat... you know, folks that change their minds & put things anywhere without thought... Please guys, just leave it at the register on the way out, believe me, the employees appreciate it. You know...example: @Aldi, why do idiots throw eggs & lettuce in the freezer? Why? Change your mind? Just leave it at checkout! Everytime I change my mind, I ask an employees to return it back to where it belongs AND They thank me, with a surprised gaze when I hand them the merchandise, then a greatful smile.
But honestly, love this place... like a treasure hunt...alway walk out with 5-6 gems w/ a total under $50.”

“As a donor, the process couldn't be easier: no inspection, just drop your stuff into the bins by the entrance. As a shopper, I have found luck with some of their kids' clothes and books, as well as some beautiful vintage glassware. Personally their adult clothing and shoes haven't caught my eye, which they dedicate 75% of the store to. I'd prefer a more curated adult clothing selection as I find the quantity overwhelming with too many items that I think no one is likely to buy.”

“This is a well organized, spacious thrift store and it's fun to wander around. The staff are very nice. I thought I had lost something there and called the next morning. Morris picked up at 7:40 am, checked lost and found, and told me that when they cleaned the floors before the store opened, they would check the floors, and call me back.”

“There’s a decent selection and the prices are pretty good. Most things are around $10, few are above $20. The customer service was phenomenal. I had $13.00 of $14.80 and the cashier waved the difference. He was super friendly about it, too. The person I was with was also short a few dollars and he waved the difference, again.”

“I have been coming to this location for over 35 years. I’ve always found very good. Well kept items in the store. The staff has always been very nice and I have watched the store management and employees turn over the years. Prices are always good, and I have made many donations as well.”

“My girlfriend and I recently moved in together! During this process we had quite of bit of duplicates from kitchen appliances to large living room and bed room furniture. We used this location for a large pick up. It went extremely smooth. The two men, Lenard and Carlos, who came to pick up the load were great! They were on time for our allotted pick up time, they help keep the condition of everything as is, and overall were friendly and understanding people.

This was a great experience for us, we were at first skeptical from other reviews. Now we know this is the way to go.”

“Hard to find a thrift store like this one nowadays! Very much the "old" style of thrift - no price tags, just show the owner what you want and he will name a price that you can haggle down. Everything I've gotten has been very reasonably priced. Knickknacks stacked to the ceiling, and there's always something new or interesting. Taking one star off because it is very cramped inside, so not really accessible to someone using a mobility aid, but otherwise my favorite thrift store in the area.”

“Love this place, lovely family owned store. They're always so helpful. They pretty much have everything you need especially in an emergency. Best part is we get to keep money in our community over national brands. If you live near by and want them to have something that you know you'll continue to buy they are willing to get it to have it on hand for you (of course be reasonable).Just be careful walking in here as there is A LOT so make sure you are careful where you're walking.”

“Their hours a limited, like all NMCRS thrift stores (Tue., Thu. 1100-1300; 1st Sat. of the Month 1000-1400) but it's the only one in the DC area. They have a whole room dedicated to Navy and Marine Corps uniform items. If you need extra khakis or whites, check this place out first before going to the uniform store. Occasionally they'll have bridge coats or pea coats or even mess dress (typically only men's though). I've been told there are other thrift stores with a better selection of women's uniforms but this is the closest one to me and it's better than nothing! They also have a variety of rank devices, ribbons, metals, belts, and all those other small uniform extras that you'll inevitably loose and need to replace. Also a great place to donate rank items when you promote (including the ones that you might have to sew on!) In addition to uniforms, they also have a decent selection of clothing. They have small collections of toys, books, and housewares, and try to set up a seasonal display. Items will be discounted towards the end of the season and prices are generally fair for a thrift store. They just recently started accepting credit cards and were previously cash or check only which is a huge and much appreciated change. You need a military ID to purchase uniform items and base access to get to the thrift store, but it's a great bonus for the local military community.”

“Great Thrift store especially for furniture.
As well if you like DVD, their collection is massive and only 99 cent each. Bathrooms are available and the staff is very friendly.”

“[Part of Giving Tuesday 2019] I can only write from the perspective of a volunteer/donor, but Martha's Table seems to have a strong mission towards helping children and families in the DC area. Our class wanted to organize a clothing/food drive, and Martha's Table seemed to have the most bang for your buck. You can always donate in liquid like every other organization, but not as feasible for someone on the student lifestyle. There's plenty of drop-off locations for clothing and baby items across the city. If you can give food items like canned and dried goods, you gotta go to their Maycroft location on Columbia Rd NW. Easy to just reserve a 15-minute appointment on their website and drop off our load. I see their trucks all around the city serving the community - here's to hoping everyone's littles go a long way.”

“I've been an avid Goodwill thrift store shopper for years! I've bought clothes, shoes, electronics, kitchen essentials, furniture, etc. You need it, Goodwill's got it! The issue now is parking at the new DC store on New York Ave., NE! Where is it?”

“My first time shopping at this store & overall had a good experience. It was well organized & the clothes were organized by size & colors which I liked. It was easy to find what I needed. It felt more like a regular name brand retail store rather than a thrift store feel. I gave it a 4star only because of my retail management background, I noticed the glass tops of the clothing racks were very dusty (I almost asked for windex & paper towels lol). I will definitely be back!”
