Look, I don't need to be reviewing Roots but the white onions were $5.99 / lb and I just had to tell *someone*.

Interesting selection of items. The produce section is small but everything I’ve ever seen looks fresh. The lactose free/non-dairy options are much better than a typical grocery store; especially yogurt options. The checkout area can be a little confusing the first time you’re there because there’s a beverage cooler display to the right and just before the registers and the bread and pastry section immediately in front of the registers. Some things are a bit pricey, but I suppose everything is ticking up in price these days.

Still really happy this place is around.Have some very interesting alternatives to both traditional grocery stores and the more organic and thoughtful markets like whole foods and trader Joe's.Great fresh foods, unique prepared foods and beer and wine! And the staff is always super nice, super helpful, and willing to talk to you about any questions you have on stuff they carry!

Wish this was closer to my house! Had been geocaching in the area and stopped here on my way home to grab a late lunch. Got a prepackaged sushi plate and ate it in the car. Delicious and very fresh-tasting. If I hadn't been in such a hurry, would have bought a whole bunch of stuff.

New to the area and wow what a wonderful market. Great selection and freshly prepared options. We will be here even more when our local farmer's markets close for the season.

ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE A LOT OF USEFUL FOODS.THEIR PREPARED FOODS ARE MEDIOCRE,AT BEST.THEIR BAKED GOODS ARE CONSISTENTLY HORRIBLE.PRICING OVERALL IS RIDICULOUS.

Tiny holistic grocery store that features a lot of goodies for folks looking to change their diet from meat-heavy to vegan. But the reason why I visited the store (and this is the reason why I go to organic shops) is for vitamins and skincare. I will say, they have a solid section for taking care of the body etc., but the vitamin section could be a bit better. Simply put -- it doesn't compare to Mom's Organic vitamin section. Convenient for being local to me but I will shop here for other reasons in the future.

Really pleasant shopping experience. They do have a limited meat selection though, but overall a great place to buy groceries

I’ve always lived in the area, but I’ve never stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised, it has a cool layout, and a nice selection of unique products. I usually shop at Whole Foods for my natural foods but if I’m in the area I’m definitely gonna stop and see what Roots has. Bonus points for selling beer and wine.

I absolutely love roots, I've been going on and off since I went vegan in 2017. If ur vegan , u will love the sandwhiches they make in store. And my go to's are always the beyond chicken nuggets and Yukon fries, so yummy . It's expensive I will admit but ofc , that's to be expected with a store that has as many healthy and local options as it does Update: but they have the BEST Mac and Cheese in their hot bar I love I do so much! Their garlic kale and garlic potatoes are the bomb too in the hot bar Updated from previous review on 2022-01-28

Roots is a pricey place, but it's nice to have somewhere to go for organic veg and other products, and organic anything costs more... that's how it is. They carry local produce, too. Items for specialized diets are hard to find, but Roots generally has them... whether it's frozen or natural foods, boxed products, or wines. They have supplements, even skin care, and the staff in that section are helpful...what they don't know, they'll look up... and they'll order for you if they don't have it.They have good customer service. If you can't find something, just ask someone on the floor.Now... the cheese section. They have helpful cheese staff that have helped me pick new cheeses. There's a decent selection for a small space. One favorite: Prairie Breeze. A white sharpish cheddar with little crunchy bits that's part of its cheese making. I do small slices and eat plain or with a cracker.Another fav:I'm not much of a goat milk cheese person, but they have a Spanish one with 2 names that start with a "C." I hope they still have it as it doesn't have that goat aftertaste. OMG...one of the cheese staff recommended I put it on one of the Effie's Oat Cakes (plain or nut and found with the cheeses). These things are good on their own, but add a smear of the goat cheese and drizzle with honey...wow! You won't believe how good that is! It's very rich, I couldn't eat more than 2. It's nice as a snack and even a dessert. They also carry these crunchy breadsticks packed in a cellophane bag by the cheeses. These are very good, especially with my hummus.Whether or not you're a foodie...its worth going in and having a look around.

What a great place to shop! This is a vegetarian and vegan paradise! And they are one of the few places that still has a salad and hot soup bar! It's a little expensive but everything is such high quality that it's worth it!
