Horrible (I don't know about now, but about 4 months ago I would have given it a "1" and I will tell you why!) I went to the Sally shop in Olney, MD looking for hair color for a date I was going on the next night. I couldn't get a last minute appointment at a hair salon, so I decided to stop at Sally. When I asked the very unfriendly woman at the front counter to help me, she didn't even glance at my hair (and could have cared less) and recommended some type of "bleach" to get rid of the color I presently had and then re-dye it a color I chose from the color shade display. I bought what she recommended (because I was desperate) and went home to use the products. It was a horrible experience; my hair was totally ruined. I cried for a good 1/2 hour and had to take a half of a day off the next day to visit an expensive salon to get my hair redone (and paid a pretty penny for it). I have shopped there to buy different products before the visit I just described, and had bad experiences. The associates were unfriendly and unprofessional. During one of my visits there, I was helped by a young woman who was wearing a very inappropriate outfit (I was embarrassed for her). I took the woman's advice as to what products to use and when I got home, realized that she sold me the completely wrong products for my hair type. I wonder if the associates there get any type of formal training (or any training at all). I doubt it. If they haven't already, I hope that they never get hit with a big lawsuit. Horrible. Do not come here. I drove half an hour here because it was the nearest one to return something. I have a very busy schedule so I was lucky to fit the time in. I arrive there to return my item, and the lady working at the cashier tells me she cannot do any returns without her manager being there. So they are running a store, with no manager, and they can’t even do their job??? So I call up Sally’s and they say that no manager is needed to perform a return. So either this lady is lying, or the manager is. Either way, the store shouldn’t be running without a manager, or at least someone who can do returns. This is ridiculous. I Don’t recommend coming here unless you want horrible customer service, and a waste of your time.

The cashier is helpful and they have a variety of products. The parking lot is large. There are many businesses located here.

Staff is always very friendly and speak to you upon walking into the store which is always great! They always have asked if I need any assistance and are quite helpful when help is needed. This is a great location compared to some others in the area!

Employee with crazy red color hair was rude and mean. Did not want to help or assist with questions on products. Managment needs to find employees that want to help and be there. Seems like the employee does not like men since she said hi to the female next coming into the store.

This is quite possibly the worst retail experience I've ever had. I know sally beauty isn't a real beauty supply store but I desperately needed to fill in my acrylic nails. I stopped in and wasn't greeted by any employees, but was instead followed around the store while I shopped. I was between two products but made my decision and checked out. After I made my purchase I was seated on a bench outside of the door waiting for my ride when an employee came out and confronted me, asking if I had purchased the powder I was considering. I explained that I hadn't and showed her the product I got instead. She then let me know they "were missing one". I offered to let her check my belongings, but she declined and instead chose to snarkily inform me that the store was video monitored. Congratulations Sally Beauty for racially profiling a child and losing a customer for life! Xoxo

Friendly employees and well organized selections. Although it gets kind of irritating when they follow you around. But I know it's their job. I hope they install a security camera instead and watch it from screen, since they're lot cheaper these days
