I don't understand why this store is so rude, unprofessional and lack customers service experience ??♀️. I started off, like shopping for my nephew clothing there, BUT when I decided to have items shipped to the store a BIG MISTAKE ?. sizes were all wrong, employees even the store Manager was rude as ? during the Christmas Holidays up to today. I did not have my Children's Place credit card, and was told I couldn't purchase a total of $26.52 on it, because I didn't have it on me. She had all my information in front of her. I had 2 other credit cards that I shown her ??♀️ with my name on it. She became very ignorant and unprofessioal in front of a store full of customers ?After today, I would not be shopping at that particular store anymore. I will be contacting the Corporate Office . They need to get rid of those unprofessional employees starting with the store Manager, better yet CLOSE ? store at Rivertown. This store gives Children Place a bad name. If you don't believe me send a secret shopper there??♀️. National Harbor here I come.?

This place sucks. Never ordering clothes to be shipped to this store again. They are unable to change the name for pick up even though I am out of town for an emergency. Then they want to ship my things back! Horrible service. Never again

I was refused access to the fitting room. I sent a letter to Corporate. Here is an excerpt of the letter that describes my experience.~~~~~As a loyal customer of Children's Place for many years, I have always appreciated the quality and variety of clothing your store offers for children. If fact, the purpose of today’s visit was to pick up a rather large order that I purchased online (ship to store items). However, my most recent visit left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied.Upon arriving at the store, I was able to quickly retrieve the items I purchased several items of clothing for my child, and I proceeded to the fitting room area with the intention of allowing my child to try on one pair of the uniform pants. To my surprise and dismay, I was refused access to the fitting rooms by one of your staff members. She first stated that they did not have a fitting room; however, the fitting room sign was evident on the wall in blue font. She went on to state that the fitting room area was closed had merchandise; she further insinuated that I might steal something (which was extremely absurd, disrespectful, and ludicrous since I already purchased $145.79 online for the order I was picking up). She offered to allow me to let my child try on pants in a secluded corner in the store, and pointed to the toddler’s clothing section.I tried to explain that trying on clothes is an essential part of the shopping process, especially when it comes to children's clothing, as sizing can vary. However, my concerns were met with indifference. She threatened to call security and walked over to the phone (which I welcomed as clearly they require security to monitor to store since they believe customers who have already purchased several items online would steal clothing in the store). She never picked up the phone although I was quite amenable to her calling security.I was left with no choice but to leave the store with the items I purchased online. As I closed the store door and began to walk to my car, I thought that I could not in good conscience purchase these items given the lack of professionalism and disrespect. As such, I immediately returned all nine pieces of clothing items and walked next door to The Gap to purchase my children’s uniforms. My daughter was able to try on her clothing in the fitting room at The Gap. It was a pleasant shopping experience with helpful staff. This incident not only wasted my time but also left me feeling extremely disappointed that I would be treated in such a way in my community. It is disconcerting to think that a store I have trusted for so long would treat a loyal customer in such a manner.I am reaching out to you in the hope that this issue can be addressed promptly. I believe that customers should have the right to access fitting rooms when needed, as it is a fundamental part of the shopping experience, particularly for parents shopping for their children.I kindly request that you investigate this matter, ensure that your staff is properly trained to handle such situations more appropriately, and consider implementing a clearer policy regarding fitting room access. Further, if theft is an issue, you should invest in properly monitoring controls to mitigate the risk of theft and not adversely impact honest consumers.

This isn’t my first time in the store. But it seems like since the pandemic they must hire anyone to work there. The 2 young women that work in there now have the worst customer service. On top of that the store looked a mess, it was clothes everywhere, thrown everywhere. No organization. I decided to finish my shopping online. Don’t shop at this location.

Whoever the two young ladies were working at this store on the afternoon of Saturday, June 12 2021 were extremely unprofessional. I had questions about the rewards program around how my telephone number would be used and one of them muttered to the other something to the effect of “nobody wants your phone number!” She of course thought I didn’t hear her bc her mask was on...but not the case. It was just so unnecessary and again, unprofessional. The other young lady was too busy watching videos on her phone to notice a couple standing in line waiting to be checked out. It was cringe-worthy. The young man who was actually the one checking me out was friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions, no problem. Otherwise, pretty good selection of clothes. Customer service needs improvement - greeting and offering assistance on the floor did not take place.

In store over 20 minutes and never acknowledged by either of the three employees. Stood with merchandise in hands waiting to buy while it took two to assist someone making an exchange, still no acknowledgment, we’ll be with you soon...NOTHING!! I had selected two Gymboree dresses and two matching sweaters. Oh well, I guess they don’t need my business.

The manager is not good at staffing during sales, holidays, and MD tax free weekend. He scheduled 3 people (including himself) and one of the other two was not authorized to run the cash register on tax free back to school shopping weekend. He needs training on how to properly schedule staff during busy times for the store. This is an outlet location, so better management of the staffing is needed.

This is the worst store ever. 4 clerks in the store fixing racks with 1 cashier working and the line is long. I hate coming to this store. If I could give it a zero I would. They are some of the rudest people, awful customer service.

The other reviewers are correct. Rude and ghetto. The lady at the door, shrugged like why are you asking me when I asked a question. Couldn't use the fitting room, because the manager was using it for storage. I put my clothes down and will order online where it's cheaper according to an employee.

I honestly want to speak to the manager! They treated my mom so terrible! so first I walk in and the security is looking at me so weird and makes me feel so uncomfortable and then I left to get sweet frog and when coming back my mom had her eyes watery because were Hispanic and i don't understand if she sounded racist but my mom isn't a bad person and won't say something to anyone! and so she tells me that THEY NEEDED ID TO JUST RETURN SOMETHING like didn't you just see her buy it ? And then I see a phone laying on a table I pick it up and it's android so why would I want a crusty android when I have the iPhone 8plus!? & then i pick it up because I was about to report it missing and the security guard looks at me with such a face! Saying no don't touch it it's mine! like WHY EVEN LEAVE IT THERE... I'm so unsatisfied!
