The staff at Next Step Pediatrics has absolutely horrible attention to detail. My wife and I took our newborn son in for his first pediatric exam; as part of it he needed a bilirubin test. The test tube of his blood was improperly marked by staff members and thus unusable. I needed to return the same day to have the test performed again (which involves pricking his foot and drawing blood). My wife had an emergency C section three days prior and was in no shape for the travel and disruption. We will not be using Next Step Pediatrics in the future. Choose your healthcare provider wisely.

All three of my kids have been going here and I couldn’t be more satisfied. We have seen all doctors at the Parkton location and they all have been great. They all take the time to listen and answer any concerns and questions. I’ve never had any issues with getting appointments either, I have called a few times for same day appointments and I never had any issues when that would happen.

Dr Bucci has been my son's pediatrician for 17 years. He cares about his patients, and treats them as a family. Dr Bucci listens to his patients and parents, answers all questions honestly, and without brushing them off. We love him, and so grateful to have him as my son's pediatrician.

I’ve already written a review for the Towson office a year ago and writing one for the Parkton office. I can’t see enough great things about this practice. They go above and beyond the call of duty all the time. Dr. Lancer especially has been there for me anytime I have needed her.

We have 2 boys and have gone to a few Peds until we landed here. We absolutely love Dr. Bucci. He’s calming, funny and amazing with kids of all ages. We’ve also seen many of the nurses, and nurse practitioners - all terrific and kind. The front staff has had turn over through the years but usually helpful with no issues. If you are looking for a new doctor, you should go here!

Was my wife's pediatrician, now for all of my children. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Fills out school forms online, can almost always make same day appts, answers texts, have absolutely zero complaints.

I hate to throw someone under the bus here, but you need new people working the reception desk who understand how to communicate. Also, sleeping with one's head down on the desk is all kinds of unprofessional. Everything else great.

We travel from Carroll County to use this practice. Every doctor and nurse we've ever seen at either location has been wonderful.

I brought my daughter there as a new patient, we had a somewhat decent first appt with a nurse. Brought my daughter there for a 2nd time for same problem, the doctor was 45 min late, people that came in after us were seen first and we are sitting there with masks on not being able to breathe. Not a good first impression. The doctor sent us for blood work, no call weeks later, when I called the office they gave me instructions to log in and said the doctor would call us to go over them,2 weeks later still no call. Horrible , we will NEVER return. Should have read his reviews first.

My 6 year old and twin 4 year olds have been here since birth. The entire staff is fantastic - friendly, accommodating, helpful and show genuine care. Dr. Lancer is the absolute best and always goes above and beyond for me and my boys. If you want a practice that’ll treat you like family, look no further.

Towson Office
I am extremely disappointed in the manor in which I was treated. After a 10 plus years of a relationship with Dr Bucci and multiple staff turnovers I have been dismissed from the practice due to this current staff. I scheduled an apt for a med check for my son. Went in had said apt, I filled out the standard yellow forms for med check the dr (Lancer) even refilled one of my sons prescription. I show up several weeks later to pick up the rx that is kept in the office and was informed that it was not in fact a med check they had charged me for but a checkup. I would have to reschedule again for a med check. That in of itself wasn’t exactly an issue. I wasn’t happy but it was what it was. The issue was the fact my son was out of his meds and I needed a rx that day or he would suffer migraines. I told this to the staff who told me I should have come two weeks in advance for the script. Now I already went through the med check so 6 months worth of rx should have been printed in his folder, no need for two week heads up. I ask the women to speak with the Dr who informs me he is in a meeting in the office and they would have to call me later and let me know. The woman was extremely rude. I put my foot down and say I’m not hurting my son for their mistakes. Not to mention I drive a pretty far distance to pick these scripts up. She informs me I missed his med check which. She claims it was scheduled for a few days after the med check I already had. Of course it was missed, I had no idea about it bc I already had his med check done. Finally with a roll of her eyes she goes and gets the script. I am then informed I have to redo the med check. This ends up being at the other office that is 45 mins away from me. (Whole different story) I see Dr Bucci explain what transpired he assures me that he has had several complaints and is in the process of dealing with the staffing. All is well, med check done(again). I call two days ago ask for our script to be mailed in the envelopes I provided, no issue. Today I received a letter, not even signed by the Dr himself, stating we are dismissed from their practice for not being able to communicate. After years of a personal relationship with many deeply personal things being shared, to be dismissed in this manor due to staffing mistakes is inexcusable and very disappointing. They are no longer the family practice they once were. My first inclination was to speak with the Dr himself but seeing how he could not even see fit to sign the letter himself, I’m no longer interested.

Previously I wrote a bad review on this place but after the help of office manager Jordan.He has given me hope that this place takes there reviews from their patients very seriously and has promised me that he will then see through my covid test himself if he had to. I can tell this by him driving from the other office location which is in Towson to the location where my test was which was in Hereford, to then apologize to my face and administrate the test himself for me.

The most caring and compassionate doctors. They truly care about there patients, my children. When my kids were very sick they did everything possible to help them. We moved to Pennsylvania and still drive to Towson because they are worth it! Plus my kids love them. We’ve been patients for 10 years!-Shovestull
