Tennis courts are a mess, none are maintained and have been pointlessly thrown to Pickelball players. I’m afraid the people there say there’s no will to advance updating the courts.

It’s a YMCA, but aside from being older and the place being very spread out like a maze, what makes this place unique is it has a year round heated outdoor lap pool, which is awesome. There is also a big indoor pool. Big downside though is there’s no sauna and no towels. But 5 stars just for the outdoor heated lap pool because it’s dope.

I cancelled my membership here due to pricing increasing with no prior notification almost $30 more. The class schedule changed with no prior notification and some were completely removed from their program. Unfortunately, this location is a disorganized facility. It is very sad because I truly enjoy the evening classes and the instructors.

Don’t join for the classes. They are frequently canceled at the last minute, with no substitutes, no explanation, no apology in a classic case of “the big print giveth, the small Print taketh away” the facilities are decent.

Yeah. The building is funky for sure. But the staff…awesome! Always a smile. They made the dark days of Covid bearable. And the outdoor pool, open year round is a blessing! Thanks SS YMCA!

I joined this Y for a few reasons; I was tired of the traditional Gym atmosphere, this Y is close to my home, both pools are open year round, and it has community-based. I enjoy the intergenerational aspect of it very much. The odd arrangement of the building can be a bit funky and it would he nice to have all the weight training equipment in one place but one gets used to it.The staff are wonderful.

After when you think you 're at the end of something. you're at the beginning of something else. I risked my $1000 thinking it would not work, with no confidence I was so surprised when I checked my forex trading account and unbelievable I made a profit of $14,000. this is unbelievable I couldn't believe it myself and all glory to God for bringing MRS Kayla Williams to me. very diligent and straight forward in her work, I really appreciate her... First off, the staff at the Silver Spring YMCA is wonderful. They have nothing to do with my rating. But once you get past the staff you are left with an old, underfunded gym that should make the YMCA organization embarrassed and the local gym-going public angry. I recently went to the Bethesda YMCA and it was like a luxury gym experience. It's infuriating that the people in Silver Spring, who still pay a relatively high membership price, aren't deemed worth the same upgrades.

Nice YMCA nestled in a community - I was in the area for an event and it was super easy to get in and out from the Interstate. I used the indoor pool & men's locker room. The pool was really nice. Other swimmers were very polite to seamlessly share lanes when it started to fill up. The staff members where very friendly. I'd love to have seen partitions in the shower, but it has the "large shower room" style. Some of the parents bringing kids in for swim classes would have definitely appreciated a more layout that allows for more modesty since you have to walk through the shower room to get to the pool.

Ian Thorpe one of the trainers gave me a tour of the facilities. He was very courteous professional and detailed as well as energetic, I'm also in the customer service business and you don't see it often enough. Kudos to the young man and kudos to YMCA for having a young man like him

I haven't been here in years, but when we went it was dingy, dirty (literally layers of dust on things), uncomfortable and just an unpleasant place to be. A while back, I received an email message that my bank draft had failed. Again, I haven't been a member in years. I told them this and to stop attempting to draft my account. I just got another message today. So not only are they expensive and their facilities subpar, but they are also either incompetent in their billing or dishonest.

I applied for an teacher's position here at the YMCA and it was an horrible experience. I came to my job interview 30 minutes earlier in an uber and thinking I was doing a good thing but was pouring down raining outside, However the assistant Director Jesenta Wellington was yelling at me about being vaccinated however she never put it into thethe email that vaccination was a requirement, She made me stay outside in the rain until the Director said it was OK for me to come inside. When I was allowed into the building I was soaked and wet I felt so uncomfortable. I hope Jesenta Wellington learns from this experience to treat others with respect and furthermore be more professional in an workplace environment.
