Really enjoyed this aquarium! I've been to many different aquariums; New England stood out because they created many different environments that were truly natural to the species they were trying to preserve. The penguins were extremely entertaining; there were 3 different species that each had their own environment which allowed them to behave naturally. Would highly recommend a visit!

Had a great time. Took us about 1.5 hours leisurely strolling to get through the whole thing. Lots if great information with the displays. Not too crowded. Love how you can see the penguins from lots of different angles and viewpoints.

The New England Aquarium was amazing! From how clean it was, to how orderly it was organized! The staff was fun, inactive and knowledgeable! The bathrooms were spotless. Gift shop prices were reasonable with some proceeds going back into conservation and rehabilitation of sea life! 10/10 would recommend to anyone, especially with kids. Plenty of room to move around with a stroller, elevator access to all floors.Seriously considering becoming a member here!

A fantastic aquarium and easily walkable from our hotel. We came here in the afternoon after doing a Duck Tour in the morning. We have been several times and my husband and I agree that the penguin exhibit at the entrance is the most memorable aquarium entrance we both remember. It is worth walking the four floors up and then following the huge tank down the ramp in the middle of the museum. We also enjoyed the sea lion area outdoors.

Immediately fell in love with the penguins. And the animals seemed healthy and well cared for. Environments were very clean. Signs throughout were very informative/educational. There was sufficient space (at least on a Thursday in summer) for people to enjoy the aquarium without feeling like they were right on top of each other. We got in late and were actually hoping to grab a snack, but the cafe closed rather early, which was a disappointment. Both beverage machines were out of order, which didn't help matters on a hot day when we needed refreshment. I also thought the price of entry was steep, though we took advantage of the GoCity Boston pass and that helped.All-in-all I'd recommend.

Love the variety of sea life! Especially enjoyed reading about all the conservation efforts and amazing work you all are doing here in Boston! Thoroughly enjoyed it and comparable to the amazing Monterey Bay aquarium, my hometown.

We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy but, decent room to move around. The concept of the enormous single tank with a wrap around spiral is pretty cool. As you walk up each level has additional tanks and exhibits around. Nice to see a giant octopus on exhibit, definitely my favorite. Some cool infographics around, geared more towards conservation rather than just stats. Nice to see the creatures with large areas of space to live. The penguins have a lot of space and the open air exhibit is unique at least in the aquariums I've visited. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area and enjoy sea life.

A super cool aquarium! The layout of the building is very fun with the giant spiral center. I love the amount of penguins and sea lions and seals that you can see way up close! The touch tank is a little underwhelming, but it's a nice place to chill by. Also, the sea dragons there are the coolest! I've never seen them anywhere else before.

We had an amazing time at the New England Aquarium. As we slowly walked up the spiral staircase we enjoyed observing the fish in their natural habitat. When we reached another floor we also took the time to view the other displays that provided further insight to sea creatures and wildlife from around the world. A very fascinating experience. Later we went to the theater to see the various films about animal odysseys. That was fascinating as well.

This aquarium reminded us a lot of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, just on a slightly smaller scale. The location is terrific. It was most interesting to watch the staff interacting with and caring for the animals. It would have been nice to have more signs and more staff or volunteers posted on different levels to answer questions. We enjoyed our the theater film on turtles too.

Took the kids on a day they had off school expecting it to be VERY crowded, but it wasn't. This was most likely due to COVID capacity restrictions, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. We were able to stroll through easily and there was almost no wait to look at all the things we wanted. More places to sit down on the upper floors would be helpful; little feet get tired quickly. The gift shop and food court were reasonable.

This place is fantastic, my niece and nephew loved it. They loved seeing the penguins and how they interact with each other. The sea lions were very cool to look at. The central tank is amazing with many different types of fish and large turtles, it is like a mini reef. I also liked seeing the bioluminescent jellyfish and fish. The fish and other animals were very easy to spot within the exhibit. The information next to the exhibit was good to read. I hope this place continues to flourish for many years to come.

The Boston Aquarium is simply wonderful! There are different species alive and very well cared for by the aquarium staff! There are different rooms in this space. Rooms with smaller marine animals like rays, as well as larger rooms with penguins, sharks and an 89-year-old giant tortoise! There is also a space outside with seals that give a show of diving and jumping! Wonderful space, clean, very well organized and with lots of information everywhere you look. On the walls where it is possible to access the top of the larger aquarium it is possible to see smaller species such as shrimps and a giant octopus that is camouflaged in one of the aquariums for having many species it is almost not noticeable its presence, but when you find it you wonder : but how did I not see this giant octopus? Very funny and interesting the way you learn about marine animals in the aquarium! I highly recommend taking the children to watch the seal's shows and their excellent handlers. There is no parking at the aquarium, there are other paid parking lots nearby and if you arrive early you can find metered parking on the street. Tickets can be purchased on site and on the website!
