Very disappointing. The water is murky. Things are hard to see. Plus the shark and manatee display was closed. Way too crowded. Go to the one in Scranton, it’s in a mall and it’s MUCH better and MUCH less expensive.

It was an okay experience. They dont have much variety of fish. Its also hot inside. I instantly wanted cold water but no drinks amd food were allowed inside. Parking is kinda a annoying in a sense that either pay $30 for an hour or park a bit far. In this cold, it was annoying either way. They ran out of validation passes and the garage didnt validate either. Which was disappointing.

Love this place. Jammed with nostalgia too because I've been coming here since I was a wee lad and now I bring my own daughter. The spiral ramp with the center tank is the best part.

The aquarium was very nice, but even with the timed entry it was way overcrowded on the weekend. There was no room to get close to any of the tanks alongs the walls so we had to skip most of them. I wish they didn’t allow so many people in because we weren’t able to see at least half of the exhibits. The center tank was gorgeous though and we loved seeing the penguins.

The Simon theatre movie experience really saved this review and the ratings. The short film was fantastic we saw the predator one and the theatre was super clean. We were so excited to head over to the aquarium as it’s a MAJOR tourist attraction/ attraction in general in the Boston downtown area. I mean it’s right next to the harbor. You would expect it to be one of the best aquariums in the country even. It was so lackluster. The penguins at the front was pretty much the most excitement you’ll see. The seal area I felt terrible for them the water was so shallow. Seals like to dive and swim DEEP. The pools were shallow and not big for 4-5 adult seals to be in. I’ve seen better seal exhibits in Midwestern zoos (NO OCEANS NEARBY IN THE MIDWEST!) they also make it a point to mention sharks and stingrays several times… WHERE are the sharks even? It’s just false advertising. The only stingray was in the gigantic tank in the middle of the aquarium. Sure, that was nice and cool… but that’s it. Every other “attraction” in the aquarium were small fish tanks. Not even informative. Other than naming what the fish are, no other information on the plaques. It was also so small. I did not expect the aquarium to be that small as once again it is a MAJOR attraction to the Boston area. Don’t even get me started on the layout. What is up with that. Oh yeah they have to lay it out as a spiral because the building itself is SO SMALL. All in all this is a type of aquarium you’d see in some place like Toledo or Boise. So random. I expected WAY more especially for the price and for the THIRD TIME! It being in the boston downtown NEAR THE HARBOR!!

I love the aquarium but the service is not it. Had issues purchasing a ticket and the site said to call the number listed. I did as instructed and was left in a loop with an automated voice message… don’t tell people to press a number to speak to someone that clearly doesn’t work.

Small area, nice explanations. The diversity of species in the aquariums is not really that great. The price of admission is high for what is actually on offer.

HONESTLY will give you the most realistic review ever. This place is great to come during a WEEK do not come during the weekend because its just way to crowded. It’s small but it’s still a nice place to look at a lot of things. I went on a Saturday and after 20 mins we left but came back on a Tuesday around 3pm and It was not packed and was not shoved around and was able to take my time. The reason I say do not come during the weekend is because this place might seem huge from outside but it’s tiny.

The Shark and Ray Touch Tank was closed, and that is the part my 10 year old nephew loves the most. Also, too many baby carriages made it very difficult for us to move around inside the aquarium. It seems a limit is needed on how many baby carriages are safe at one time in one building. I can't even imagine how the people and the carriages would exit safely if there was an emergency.
