I picked up pizza from here and an iced coffee. Everything was good but I cannot get over the prices on MV-$5 for a small coffee and $30 for a pizza! I guess if you can afford to live there you can afford the prices. I was just a visitor 😉

Cute general store! We stopped in to pick up lunch on the way to Larsen’s because I don’t eat lobster. The store has a good selection of groceries but I was there for the prepared foods. Lots of choices for salads, sandwiches and ready to heat meals. I opted for the Greek salad and a slice of veggie pizza. I was a little disappointed to find out the veggies on the pizza were just tomatoes, so basically a Margherita pizza with pesto. The salad was fresh and had a good dressing on the side but I thought the pizza was only ok. Still a great grab and go option.

This place needs some competition. They have attitudes and poor customer service to accompany their astronomical prices. Whatever your economic status this place is to be avoided.

Clean with okay but not comprehensive selection of food. Loses stars for extortionate prices. $6.50 for a 1 liter bottle of Coke, $5 for a small container of Greek yogurt, etc. I expect double (or at most triple) the price but 5 or 6 times what I would normally pay is price gouging. The little shop at Gay Head has a much smaller selection but has yogurt for $1.50. Go to the farmers market and the fish market in the area and the Gay Head market for milk, butter, etc. but avoid this General Store unless you are totally desperate. Real rip off.

We ordered the meatball sub at the Chilmark General store and it was a delightful sandwich, full of flavor! The salad was good too!
