Always think twice before leaving a bad review, but this place truly deserves it. Completely unprofessional. Nobody answers the phone, they charged me $500 and my issue still wasn’t fixed. They don’t even bother to call you when your car is ready—you have to show up in person. To make things worse, they leave cars parked on the street. I was shocked to find my car sitting on a corner in my own neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else.

This review is long over due, but this place is what people mean when they say trusted mechanic. Mike, Andy, and Lauren are as good as it gets. I have an Audi that is probably on it's last leg and whenever I bring it in, they are quick to diagnose and fix the problem. If the problem is a $25 dollar fix, they are honest and tell you that. If the problem is bigger and more costly, they go out of their way to find OEM/aftermarket parts to make it more affordable. I tell them this every time but it's true when I say the only reason I'm able to afford a car in this city and with my crazy work schedule is because of Life Long Auto.
I would never dream of going anywhere else.

My wife and I recently moved to Belmont, just down the road from Waltham, and needed to find a garage and mechanics we could trust to get good work done at a fair price. After getting a glowing recommendation for Long Life Auto, and for Mike and the whole team, we brought them both our cars and have been so pleased by the excellent quality of work, clear communication, and fairness with all the repairs and maintenance work done. Having LL in our corner means a lot to us. Thank you LL!!

Just had an amazing experience with Long Life Auto. I’m always hesitant reading reviews for car repair places because you never know whether YOUR experience is going to be one of the good ones or the bad ones. I’m extremely happy with my choice bringing my car here when my AC wasn’t working. I called ahead and couldn’t bring my car in for a few days but they listened to my concerns over the phone and told me when they could take it in. Lauren was very sweet and got all my info and I was able to meet Mike, the owner, who is incredibly personable and introduced himself. I brought my car first thing in the morning the day of which I think is the way to go if you can. I was charged exactly what I was quoted for a blower motor replacement which I knew was tricky for my car. I felt the price was fair, and that Mike was honest and efficient about what needed to be done. I will certainly be taking my car here again if it needs work. Thank you Long Life Auto!

I have a 40 minute commute to work on the Mass Pike and through a maze of tunnels under Boston. My 2008 Mercury Milan suddenly developed extremely soft brakes, and I felt there was no way I could safely drive the car to work. I called Long Life and Lauren recognized the urgency of having this repaired and was able to fit me into the shop schedule the next morning. The shop owner Mike identified the problem as malfunctioning rear brake calipers, and within a few hours had them replaced (with complementary brake pads). Braking has never felt more secure, and I’m so grateful for the entire Long Life crew.

I've been bringing my car here for the last 5/6 years and Long Life Auto is the best!!!
They're always extremely nice and friendly. They always call you back to let you know what's wrong and give you a price estimate; before fixing it and charging you more $. Mike the owner is the nicest guy too. He's always reasonable with pricing and repair costs.
The only downside is they're so popular and busy, that you might have to wait a little bit to get an appointment. That being said, they're without a doubt the best auto shop in the area!

I used this car shop for over 5 years with absolute delight. They always quote very reasonable prices while doing an excellent job, never had any problems with anything they fixed in my car.
