Please do not take your pet here. This quality and care at this clinic has declined significantly in the past 3 years. I live a block away and would love nothing more than to have a local vet that can take care of my dog, but after 3 years I have moved vets. I actually drive 15 minutes (when I used to walk to the vet) but it's worth it.Issues:* The same vet is never there. You get someone different almost every time and theirs no connected care.* They really like to upcharge or offer services more frequently than they should. I found out they were having me do 6 month heart screens when an annual screen was recommended.* The facility itself is older and showing signs of decline. Its starting to smell (I get it, it's a vet, but there should be standards).* No one owns this place. Who is the head? Who do you contact when you're having a problem? The only consistent person is the receptionists and they don't have the authority to change anythingPlease take my word and find somewhere else.

Love these guys. Friendly service. Excellent care for my kitty and caring staff. Cost effective, too.

I absolutely love this place! I have multiple exotic pets and this place is the best for them. The vet is extremely knowledgeable and honest and the techs are friendly! It's worth my 30 minute drive every single time!

If I could give them 0 stars I would!! Just horrible!! They used to be amazing but somewhere along the way the compassion for the animals was lost!! It's so sad but I would never take another animal there!!

my cat died in my arms in front of their office because the receptionist told me "we don't take walkins"

Wonderful vet experience so far! I took both my bunnies, Leela and Bowie to this vet. Everyone has been lovely. Bowie got neutered on the 31st and it went so well! Definitely recommend this vet for rabbits! I just wish it was closer lol.

I brought my pet in for a check-up and they tried to bully me into services that I did not wish, nor need, to complete at the time. Each visit I spend about an hour just waiting to see someone and each time they have tried to talk me into services that were not for the problem I brought me pet in for. After my last visit, I felt like all they wanted was money and did not care about my pet.

I noticed some symptoms in my chinchilla that worried me so it was time to see the vet. I had never needed it before and hadn't met her, and I didn't know what to expect. We were greeted by name and taken right back. It wasn't too long before we were seen, and both the doctor and the tech were really great with him. Chinchillas can be a handful to say the least, but are also incredibly delicate and require careful handling. I was not disappointed, they were confident, comfortable, and gentle but firm. The exam was thorough and the questions knowledgeable. The doctor (I'm sorry, I was upset this morning and didn't catch anyone's name) looked at everything and asked chinchilla specific questions. She was great. Unfortunately what I suspected is what it was (teeth) which she found right away, without doing unnecessary procedures. At that point I made the decision to end his suffering and was given as much time as I needed to say goodbye. I was given several options and when I chose the right one for me and was ready there was no delay.I hope to never need to do this again but if I do I would call Berkley Animal Hospital.

The Drs here are not the problem. I get the feeling like I'm at a used car dealership when speaking to the vet techs. The focus is on what I'm going to be paying that visit rather than my pet. Oh also, if you don't shell out for X then you are a bad pet parent. When I just had cats who only needed rabies every 3 years, I could stomach it. I gave them one more shot but the low quality of care and miscommunications that have taken place during my new puppy's care has led us to seek a new practice.

I keep giving this vet another chance because it’s close to my home and a convenient location. I have never had an appointment or interaction with them that didn’t leave me with anxiety and annoyed. Customers and their pets don't seem important to them and they will try to milk you for money every visit/phone call. I’ve never had this experience at any other vet I’ve taken my animals to.

Returned here after a few years away and it was such a great experience. Started w two doggos and annual appointments. Unfortunately we had a sick boy and they took such amazing care of not just him but us too. Everyone in front to back just had us taken care of.

They are very compassionate and good with my small animals. They helped me through the difficulty of putting one of my beloved rats to sleep and made a beautiful ink paw print and fur vial for me to keep to remember her. My other two rats were nervous to be at the vet, but the doctor handled them very carefully and wrapped them up so that she could check them. I really appreciate the compassion and warmth of everyone who works here.
