Willow is well cared for and receives lots of attention when she is there. While we were away, Willow had a snowball fight, a pic with Santa and made an ornament. Very creative and fun activities! Thank you Camp Bow Wow in Brighton.

CBW has friendly, caring dog loving camp counselors. My dog comes home happy. I love that I can watch my dog on the live video feeds while I am away.

BEWARE My dog's experience here was horrific. The bathing service was paid. He was not bathed, though they are adamant that he had a bath, first they said at 11:00, then it was he had a bath at 10:00 on the same day he was picked up. If he was bathed, why was his fur still stained with urine? Why was there dried/old feces stuck to his rear? If one bathes a curly haired dog, you must either brush before bath or after he's dry - he was so terribly matted that I completely shaved him down to almost bald that very night, and bathed him properly myself. (Definitely had NOT been given even a half-way decent bath by their staff.)Additionally, he was coughing even before he was in the car and he was coughing so badly on the way home, I would have gone straight to the vet if (1) it had been office hours and (2) the stench of him in the car was so bad. I called vet the next morning and took him there. Thank goodness the meds are starting to work, as he would not eat or drink for two full days. He was so weak, he walked like a drunk, he couldn't hold his head up.Next problem: He has fresh sores on both front feet, where the fur and skin was gone and bleeding between his toes. And undoubtedly he suffered some kind of injury, limping on a hind leg which nearly collapsed as we walked slowly and shortly outside that night and the next couple days. Also, they do not accept LEGAL TENDER - no cash, no checks.Use them at your own risk...the manager offered no apology, no kind of recompense and the owner has yet to call me, as requested 4 days ago.

We were traveling through the are and spent a week in Brighton Area. Staff was wonder in taking in our fur babies for 3 days of day care while we explored the area. Staff was friendly and welcoming each time we arrived for drop off and pick up. We could even check in on the pups while we were out. They were happy. Thank you for making our travel more enjoyable.Tom and DebbieYogi and Maggie

Awesome camp full of dog-loving professionals. I’ve taken my dogs to a different boarding place and one of them never wanted to go in, she was stressed out. We did not have that problem at camp bow wow, they were always so excited to go in and play. The baths left them smelling great for a long time. I also really liked the enrichment program for when I left the dogs for several weeks because I knew they were getting good human interaction which is super important.

I will never go back to any Camp Bow Wow. I brought my 7 month old puppy there for the first time. I was not happy with the introduction time, they put her in a room with large dogs, she’s a 15lb corgi. They knew she was shy, well at least I told them so they chose to ignore that, and yet they threw her in a room with 10+ dogs right away and most of them were large. When I wasn’t able to find my puppy on their puppy cam after an hour I called three times and they never answered. They then called me to share my puppy was snipping at other dogs, I never witnessed this on the cameras and she had not done that at dog parks or with other family pets. They just said she was sweet but didn’t do well..but did you help acclimate her well? Horrible first and last experience.

Our dog loves it here. She is excited to go there each time. Bonus is she's exhausted when she gets home. The staff knows her and she is greeted warmly each and every time. I feel she is in great hands there!

Please be very cautious when boarding your dog here.We have only lived in the area 7 months and used CBW about 3 or 4 times. This last time was a disaster. I always hated that the mini dogs seemed to be isolated from other dogs and the trainers. Our previous daycare puts the minis in with the mid pack, but that’s another issue for another day.My dog was boarded from Thanksgiving and picked up the following Wednesday. We took her approximately 12-14 bags of food. We did let CBW know that she MAY have an issue eating and to let us know if there were any issues. When we picked her up, we were in for a surprise. Our dog has lost 30% of her weight. (Verified by her vet). She was unrecognizable. She was all bones, could see and feel her ribs and spine.Upon packing her daycare bag, we pulled out 8 of her food bags that we had given for the stay! That’s 4 days worth of food!Had they even bothered to call and tell us, we could have Shipt’d some other food there or had a family member take some. We could have even cut our trip short. Here we are still 2 weeks later picking up the pieces. Our dog is on vet watch as her weight and stools have not yet recovered. You’ll be in for rounds of vet bills.Don’t even try to call the facility, because it won’t be their fault. They don’t care to hear about issues. Yet they could have called us.

I have the world's most nervous dog. She may not love being separated from Mom, but I know she's in good hands and she's actually pretty cool now about being dropped off at Camp. Every single person I've met treats her like she's their own and its heartening how much they try to connect with her. Great people, never once have I had any issues.

I have always liked this Camp Bow Wow but my recent experience has really dampened my enthusiasm. We no longer live in the Brighton area but returned for a wedding. My 3 dogs spent the weekend at camp. My oldest dog has eye drops that are prescription and very expensive. They accidentally did not get put back in the bag with the rest of their things. I did not notice until we got back to Manistee (220 miles away). I called them and they found them right away. I asked if they could mail them to me and was told he had to find out if he could do that. I called back 2 days later and was told yes, it would be mailed by the end of the week. I did not receive them for over a week, so I left 3 messages before he called me back. He was putting them in the mail that day. Yesterday, they came (3 weeks since my dogs' visit) postage due of $4.60!!! These drops cost $60 a bottle and luckily I had a second bottle but this is NOT good customer service. If he had honestly told me it would take that long, I would have asked a friend to go get them.

Camp Bow Wow takes great care of our fur babies--we were clients of St. Clair Shores and now that we have moved we have decided to use the Brighton site because we feel so comfortable with them.
