Very unfriendly atmosphere at self checkout. I thought things were going smooth when I scanned all my items the screen said to select payment type i pressed the credit card button instead of me being able to insert my credit card to pay the screen chimes and says I needed clerks assistance. I did not need any help the clerk stood in a military type stance a few inches away from the whole time I scanned all my items. The clerk watch my whole scanning process which was fine I mean I purposely go to the scanner closest to the clerk in case I need help. I go to pay and a weird screen pops up i guess telling her a message that I indeed scanned all my items and I had permission to pay for my groceries I asked her why did i get this message and she played dumb and said the message told her nothing specifically and just kept repeating like a robot There was no message for me, there was no message. It seemed like no one else at Self check out got a "message" "interrupting there purchasing" process. So I guess it some kind of security check but only for certain people. I didn't appreciate being treated like this or singled out.

I have been living in Canton, Michigan for nearly a decade. Ever since I am a Canton resident, I have been a long-term customer of Kroger.Products and Services:I like the quality of the produce that I purchase here, especially the frozen vegetables in one-pound and two-pound packets and also good quality ice creams that I get here.I am also impressed with the kind of services provided in Kroger Pharmacy that is located within the stores.Cleanliness:Most of the times, I noticed that the store is very clean and well-maintained. This well-organized store means, it is easy to find everything I need.Prices:Sometimes I find that some of the produce is cheaper at other competing stores than in Kroger, such as ALDI and Meijer, but more or less the prices here are pretty affordable, especially for the high-quality products.Overall Experience:While I had a great experience overall, I did notice that on some days and at times, the checkout lines are a bit longer than usual, due to a very limited number of open sale counters.

I was doing an instacart order at this store today around 7:30pm and while I was at the register to complete my purchase I had to show identification for the alcohol beverage that was part of the instacart order. My son was with me cause helps me with the bags when I’m out instacart ig. The person who helps with self check came over and I stated I was instacart ig and needed to show my identification card for the purchase of the alcohol beverage she look at my 17 year old son and told me I can not purchase alcohol with a minor I asked her why she said cause she can’t sell it to me so I asked her to get her manager in which she did the manager KIM came and stated the same thing the other employee stated and then told me it’s the law ( something I never heard of) so then I asked what was corporate number they both said 800kroger. Then the other employee that refused to give me her name said I’m not selling it to them because there BLACK.. I am currently as I type at the canton police department making a report and I will be calling there corporate office Monday morning.

This Kroger is ok but it seems that the Plymouth one is way better and so I end up avoiding this one. Last week when I had to go in here it reminded me again why the Plymouth one is way better. Everything way fresher in Plymouth and better organized.

Dear Kroger Management, I am writing to provide feedback on my recent experiences at your grocery store on South Canton Ctr. Rd., Canton, Michigan. I hope this review will be useful in improving the service quality for all customers. First, I've noticed a recurring issue with customer service. The staff often seems overwhelmed, leading to longer wait times and a lack of assistance in the aisles. This can be particularly challenging for customers who need help with finding products or have specific queries. Additionally, the stock levels at this and your location on Michigan Ave. are consistently inadequate. Popular items are frequently out of stock, and there seems to be a delay in restocking essential goods. This causes inconvenience and forces customers to visit multiple stores or switch to competitors for their needs. Lastly, the apparent lack of adequate staffing is a concern. The limited number of employees available in the store at any given time seems to contribute to the first two issues - poor service and inadequate stock. More staff on the floor, particularly during peak hours, could greatly enhance the shopping experience by ensuring timely assistance and efficient restocking of goods. I believe that addressing these issues will significantly improve the shopping experience at Kroger. Your stores have always been a go-to for many customers, and I am confident that with these adjustments, Kroger can continue to uphold its reputation for convenience and quality service. Thank you for considering this feedback.

PLEASE HELP!!!! CAN YOU PLEASE KEEP THE FRIED CHICKEN FRYERS WORKING UNTIL AT LEAST 6PM??? People come after work to get fried chicken only to find that NONE is available! Do you realize that shoppers are going to the Ann Arbor Rd. store due to this because they ALWAYS have fried chicken available? I simply can't understand why the fried chicken portion of the deli is ALWAYS closed? FRY SOME CHICKEN!!! Makes zero sense!!!!

Seeing the checkout line for the cashier going down a full aisle is not uncommon. They’ve yet to figure out people don’t want to cashier at the grocery store without being paid. They will wasted your time in line trying to save money

Almost all self service check out lines. Took almost 20 minutes. I will shop elsewhere.
