This place was the worst! I would not recommend anyone that I care about to use this rental establishment. Unfortunately, I have to give a star to post.I had a full size rental reservation. I called to make sure everything was ready for me 90 minutes prior to my pickup. I was assured verbally via telephone all was good...... 2 hours after I got there, a Honda Accord 2 door (I'm 6 foot 7), a 20 minute uber ride across town, and 30 minutes of confusion there, I received a nice looking car for only a couple dollars more than originally quoted. The staff at the second place were really helpful and understanding of the situation. I'd go to that one again....... NOT THE ONE ON 8 MILE IN FERNDALE!!!! ... and the staff there.....

Derwin and Ivan are the Super Stars of Hertz at the new 8mile location. My husband and I drove down from Genesee county to pick up a rental. We we’re on our way to St. Louis, MO for a funeral. These gentlemen were so gracious and personable. They made our experience so much more pleasurable with their compassion. Thank you again! We Only Rent with Hertz 5-Star member⭐️

I rented a gas car when I got there they only had electric which is a huge inconvenience when charging they charge me for stallite radio which I did not agree too the car wasn’t charge when they gave it to me and the customer when I ask them about it was a 0 very rude

There was a gentleman who was on loan from the Southfield location. This gentlemen doe’s phenomenal work. Very personable, much better than any other experience I’ve had with Hertz in the past.

They were fast, efficient, and professional. I got a nice car. I had a bit of a wait, but once they got to me, it went quickly.

I arranged to rent a car through my car insurance company, then told to call Hertz to reserve a time to be picked up. Called 3 times and got no answer. 4th time someone answered. He put me on hold. I waited 30 minutes on hold, hung up, and called a 5th time. No answer. I gave up and asked my insurance company to switch me to rent from a different company.

Went to drop off my car last night. Location was closed. Went back this morning to talk to someone and they had moved offices. Would have been nice if you told the customer you were closing that location maybe that’s a good thing now I can start using enterprise.

Reservation was made online and the car was prepped and ready for me upon arrival. Very good customer service...the staff was cheerful and friendly. Very prompt as well.

If not for Jennifer Carter my wife would've missed a very important doctors appointment we came into town for scheduled for November 4th. The Clinton Township location where we had prepaid for a luxury rental on November 4th had a closed sign left on their door when we arrived. Jennifer went over and above for us, even assisting the horrible customer care representative we had, get our location changed. She was patient and kind as humans should be. It really meant a lot and we definitely appreciate her.

Came here this morning. They gave me a rental with storm damage to it(hood, trunk, too of car, side of the car hail damage) talking about they didn't have anything else, didn't even offer a discount, how the hell this suppose to be my weekly rental??♀️??♀️, the manager called me this morning talking about they will make sure they take care of me next time??♀️??♀️

I was sent here from a Chevrolet dealership to rent a vehicle while my car was in the shop. Ivan and Jennifer were extremely helpful and processed my paperwork quickly and got me in a vehicle. The process was just as quick when I returned the vehicle. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this Hertz location.

Oh my. This place is backsliding since Nicks departure. Wow. I get it they have sooo many customers bitching about where's my reservation (they never booked one) why is this full size so small, wait I can't rent with cash or debit card, etc, etc. I would give up as well. You book and wait 30 mins for the car to be prepped. Odd when you have a president status and you wait for 30 mins. Unreal. This place needs a shakeup and to broom these idiots I'll informed customers out the door.
