Great local hardware store. This store is now a Gilroys instead of Ace, but still has the same helpful friendly crew ready to get you all set up for your next project. Since becoming Gilroys they have really added a lot of new items and inventory packing the store, but no don't have to run as far to get missing parts, and you get a coupon for $5 off of a single item next time around evrytime you check out.

Honestly thought this was Gilroys lol but doesn't matter they had everything I needed when ALL the other stores I stopped at thinking they would didn't. Go there first!

It was good to stop in since it changed hands and companies. It was really nice to see Matt again and met Connor, big man. I like how they're carrying Stihl products. I'll go back when I have more time to browse. Good luck

Recently changed names or ownership not really sure but either way I sure notice a difference. In the past I never spent more than 2 minutes in the door without an offer of assistance. Today I had one worker pass me twice and another pass me and not once did they address me. Mind you I was holding a part in my hand that I was trying to find a piece for and at one point was passed while looking through bins trying to find the right size pipe. Only thing still nice about the store was the cashier when I checked out.

Tomkins hardware was always a good store. It was sold and is now a Gilroy's.

What is shame Tompkins was a great hardware store was very knowledgeable staff now that Gilroy's is taking it over the prices have gone up two-and-a-half times and they close 10 minutes before closing

Under new ownership right now and they are renovating so it's kind of messy. Looks to be a lot of new things coming. Will be back for sure.

This use to be a great store but now that Gilroys has bought it out, not so much. Just had 2 20lb propane tanks filled and they only put 4lbs of propane into each tank. A 20 lb tank holds 4.6lbs of propane. So beware you're getting cheated .6lbs every 20lb tank your getting filled.. ride off.
