If multiple shootings and crack whores are your thing, then I suppose this gas station will be up your alley. This place is plagued by undesirables and unsavory characters hanging around. The parking lot is not safe and the management turns a blind eye to everything that goes on here. It makes me wonder why. When incidents of serious crime have taken place on the property, including altercations, shootings, etc, the management has been unwilling to cooperate with authorities, not wanting to draw attention to their establishment (how curious, indeed). It's too late for that. This gas station has already attracted more than its share of unwanted attention from both law enforcement and the community. At best, it's home to loiterers and guys who leer and holler at other customers in the parking lot, hanging around for long periods of time for no real reason. At worst, it has been home to some serious crime in the community. The inside has bullet-proof glass protecting the employees from customers. Whenever I've gone inside to pay for gas, the guy behind the glass has refused to get off the phone. No acknowledgment, nothing at all. He just takes the credit card that I slip through the gap underneath the glass and tosses it and a receipt back while he is yakking on the phone about something that he seems to not want his customers to overhear. He always turns his back away from customers and puts his hand over his phone while still talking! What the heck is up with that? The prices on both gas and convenience store items are higher than anywhere else. The inside is dirty. The gas pumps are crowded together and the parking lot is a cluster f**** It's impossible to turn out onto the street to make a left turn and near impossible to make a right because of the way it's laid out. It's so sketchy here that I wouldn't dare pay at the pump because I think I would be putting my credit/debit card at risk of being duplicated by a skimmer. I just don't trust the people who are always hanging around in the parking lot for no apparent reason. Too many sketchy types, too many questions about the activity here and no security whatsoever. I don't feel at all safe in the parking lot or inside and I know I'm not the only one. The neighborhood and other local businesses are pretty upset about this place. It's a shame since it used to be a full-service, family-owned gas station with a small garage a couple years ago.
