What a great place. Not as fancy as Horrocks and Kingma's but still one of my favorite Grand Rapids stops.

They're always SO nice and everything is always fresh and organized. Easy to find. Can't believe I've been going other places so long! They have so many local made goods as well as their own brand of so many items. Seriously a top tier market. Everything under the sun here !! So many options you don't see anywhere else.

Got a little confused as to where the ACTUAL front of the store was, but once I went in, it was just as nice as the Plainfield Ave. store, if a bit cramped in elbow room. Had a great selection of candy and fruit along with a good amount of your everyday grocery necessities.

Best fresh produce market and meat market. Check out the weekly sales items. Great staff and willingness to work with you. If you don't see what you're looking for ask for it. If they have it you will get it. Ambiance of fine shopping experience with some great staff and Some Good Savings.

Nice place, ok prices, interesting selection of items and oddities.Narrow walkways, so not 100% wheelchair or handicapped friendly.

We are so lucky to have a neighborhood market. And even luckier to have one as good as Ken’s. You may not get all the premium brands of bigger markets but most of them. The butchers and all other associates are finest kind tho.

We went in and tried to spend our Double up Food Bucks because it’s one of the only places we know of where you can use the double up cards and the produce is a reasonable price. The cashier, Aiden, misheard us and thought we wanted to earn. So we earned on our double up and had to spend our EBT balance, which we were saving for grocery stores that don’t use Double up. We were confused the entire time and rather than clarify or confirm with us what happened, we felt like a burden to our cashier who seemed like he really would have preferred we got out and left. We got the impression that he may have been annoyed with us because of our requests, definitely would not describe him as kind or accommodating. Two separate times we went back in and tried to have the situation made right or refunded and no one could help us. Wish I could rate zero stars. Sincerely, Really poor and really disappointed.

Up until three weeks ago I would have given KENS 5 star rating the one time I have an issue I get no resolution I bought two ribeye steaks which cost me $34. When I got home and open the steaks I find a Band-Aid in the packaging. After stopping at the store twice leaving my business card and messages and calling twice on the phone I have is yet got no phone call from management. That first point I had receipt which I now can't find but don't appreciate the fact that the store manager can't even give me a courtesy call. I have shopped at the Plainfield store the old Clyde Park and 28th Street store and Eastern store. A little customer service will go a long way

Ken's is our neighborhood grocery store and it has great potential, but the smell and cleanliness of the grocery store need to improved. It needs a refresh and maybe a little less bulk candy.

Ken's is apart of our everyday life its in our neighborhood and they are smaller but they offer just as much as the bigger branches of grocery...Everyone is always helpful there and we love the fresh meat and good pricing they have to offer ...We will continue to support them !

I grew up just up the road from the Alger Heights Eastern + Alger shopping district and still like to drop by and grab some groceries at Kens fruit market. The quality of meats and produce is top end and some of the best Chocolate milk in the City. The store also sells great Christmas trees and spring flowers. It's a great place I definitely recommend it.
