I recently had a fence put in to aloe my guide dog and retired guide dog to play outside safely. I went through Lowe’s because I thought they would back the quality of their work and those they contract but the quality of this job was horrible especially after the dogs managed to push the gate which was installed in such a way that it bends like a crazy straw. I have never seen a more cheaply made gate.
Thank God for my neighbor or my dogs could have gotten hit.
I paid over 7,000 for this job. For that kind of money I would expect quality materials not flimsy crap. Honestly I would have rather paid more for quality then get this supposed quality materials.
Personally if you want a fence to keep your animals or children safe do business elsewhere. There is so much more to doing business then finding every way to cut corners and save a buck.
This is not how you treat disabled customers.

Do not get installation of any windows or doors from these clowns. I ordered a exterior door and storm door at the end of November 2024. I got a call from the day before the install day saying they miscalculated my charges and I owed them another $450 if I wanted the doors installed. I told them to pound sand as I had receipt for what I ordered. Despite coming to measure 2 times they got the exterior door correct and installed, but the storm door was ordered to the wrong size. They remeasured yet again and ordered another storm door. When the new door came in I got no notification of the install date, I was only notified by my security camera notifying me people were on my property. They came with a door, tried to install it again, didn't and left. Still no communication. I had to call Lowes to get an update on my order. Turns out after measuring it at a minimum of 3 times the door was still not the correct size. Its now the end of February 2025 and they tell me it will be mid March by the time the door comes in. Woop....hopefully they brought a tape measure with them.

25+ year customer, lowes sold an inferior product. I had a reciept and it had been less than a month and they won't stand behind their totally and visible inferior products. I hope the 25$ sale was worth losing decades of business. Don't buy there products

Went in Monday, great guy named Bill gave me lots of information took a lot of time showing refrigerators. Went back with wife... Very nice woman took care of purchase for wife and I . Gave Bill credit ... Did everything for us answered all questions and set delivery for today and everything went downhill fast. Wife changed schedule to work from home to be here I took off work. We cleaned out fridge, making several trips to our downstairs freezer. Many trips outside filling coolers and to make it easier. Used snowblower outside to clear path. Spread salt to help the drivers ... After all that .. they tell me the door has dings .. I said it was ok, after everything we went thru a couple dings are fine. Then they said doors would not stay closed ... They called it in and said I would probably get it tomorrow and they left ... Nobody apologized and nobody called. When I called they could not understand me so I had to go drive 20 minutes to the store ... All those people were gone .. the associate just looked it up .. I gave him my wife's phone and he said it should be the next day and nothing else .. went to customer service, tried to tell the very young kid at the counter what was happening and what we went thru... He just stared and after 15 seconds basically said So .. what do you want
Left store ... Tried to contact customer service online and spent 20 minutes only again to get at least an awkward apology and kept asking me the same questions and then pretty much said she needed time to figure out what was going on and nothing was done.
So great service until they get your money .. then you are on your own and they could care less ... Spent 1700 dollars Tuesday and still no Fridge, Time of delivery or anything for our wasted time and energy

Called to find a special tool, didn't know if they had it customer service tried several times to get ahold of tools and nobody would answer so they said they would find out and call me back, 1 1/2 later I called again and the person I talked to went home. The new person I talked to looked it up and gave me an answer right away. Bad business when phones are not answered in tools and you are never called back.

The worst selection and customer service of any hardware store in Grand Rapids. They are always out of exactly what I need and I always end up making a second trip to menards. Today, I went in to pickup a couple of pieces of 1/2” schedule 80 to finish a plumbing project. I was elated to see that the pipe was clearanced and decided to grab a couple of extra. When I got to the checkout, the gal informed me that the $0.02 price is an internal code that they have already been marked as loss and it is “illegal to sell them”. I was shocked that lowes had what I needed and then the staff took it from me and refused to sell it for the listed price. I’m officially done with lowes and will be going to Home Depot/ menards from now on. I’m still shocked that an employee took the pipe that I needed from me at the register and expected me to purchase the other fittings that I had.
Lowes, if you have time to change the price on the shelf, you have time to get the product off the shelf.

Purchased a dishwasher. Was originally scheduled for delivery 9 days later on a Thursday. Then they rescheduled to Friday because they had a scheduling conflict. They don't tell you this until 8pm the night before, so I had already changed my plans for the day. Plus, they don't give you a window of time until the night before, so you have to block off your whole day. Then on Friday they rescheduled to Monday for the same reason. I never recieved a call with a window for Monday. Monday morning I call to find out my window. They tell me that there is another scheduling conflict and they want me to move to Wednesday, which I told them was unacceptable. I went into the store to complain and the associate told me he'd handle it. I received a call at noon saying they'd be there between 5 and 8 pm that night. So I changed my schedule again. At 4:15pm I received a call from the delivery guy saying he couldn't make it. Now he's calling his boss because I'm mad. I speak to the guy that called me at noon again. He tells me the delivery will be the first one at 8am the next morning, Tuesday, a full 2 weeks and 4 delivery dates from when I ordered it. He told me that the delivery guys are allowed to pick up the dishwasher at 7:30am from Lowes. Great! I'm finally getting my dishwasher. The delivery guys don't arrive until 9:30am, 1.5 hours late. I was supposed to leave for work at 9 which wouldn't have been a problem if they had come on time. When I complained to the supervisor he told me that my delivery window was from 8 to 11 am. Funny how he never mentioned a window yesterday and was very clear saying first delivery at 8am. It took four days of me rearranging my schedule to get this done. I have purchased many appliances from them before. I can't believe that their service has deteriorated so dramatically. Cost cutting on their part means I will be taking my business elsewhere next time.

I usually love Lowe’s, today’s visit absolutely disgusted me. Today I went to Lowe’s around noon and needed to use the John and it was absolutely disgusting. I overheard employees taking about how they couldn’t fix the issues (heath hazards) due to upcoming men’s bathroom remodel, literally poop on every toilet seat. Went into Lowe’s on Plainfield expecting to place order for 8,000 in fencing, now I will never return. Please let this be a notice to how they run a business and go elsewhere.

Not Lowe's fault however their lumber and all lumber everywhere is under sized. Example...I needed a 1x8 random length. Thier sizes were between 5/8-3/4 x7 1/4. The only true size they carry is synthetic and steps. With that said the customer service is 5 star and willingness to help keeps me coming back

We chose to shop Lowe's because we "thought" it was our best option out there, boy were we wrong.
This has been THE worst mistake we have ever made deciding to purchase our new upstairs ( 250 series) and downstairs (150 series) sliders ( pella brand) and a new front door. Almost $8,000.00 ( including ALL installation)
This started a year ago july 2023. The salesman came over, worked up measurements and finalized the quote. We waited, and waited. The day finally came only to find out a left slider was delivered ( in October)and we ordered a right slider. Told MANY stories about who's fault it was, but found out later that the salesman was fired ( for making too many mistakes). Since a 250 series is special order. So we wait until December/January for the correct one to be installed. Screen was damaged ( so back it goes) meanwhile my husband has missed work to be there for these installations.
Fast forward to spring time, finally delivered and installed the correct upstairs screen door, but the lower screen door doesnt shut correctly. Come to find out Lowe's switched to a universal/cheaper version of a screen door ( we paid and expected a pella brand name since thats what we bought) so again the installer had to contact Lowe's for the actual pella that we paid for. Two days after installing the upstairs screendoor, screws came out. They were stripped because installer didnt use proper size. UNREAL, so my husband ended up fixing it. By the way he shouldnt have to, we paid for installation too, but since its our main way in and out to get to our pool we couldnt wait.
Weeks went by and we still hadnt heard from Lowe's regarding status of our lower screen. We called to check on it, only to find out it had NEVER been ordered. So back to square one. Order finally comes in to store and WE ARE EXPECTED TO PICK IT UP!! I am asking myself "are you kidding me?!" NONE of this is our fault. So we used our gas, our time a HUGE fiasco getting it at the store. We were told the installers would be calling to set up installation.
Bring it home and wait. One month later, YES ONE MONTH later we receive a call setting up a date and time. Again, we shuffle schedules to make sure we are home for this only to wait for a NO SHOW, NO CALL. We left multiple messages asking for a call back and never got one.
On a Friday August 30 afternoon we receice a call saying he's got one more job then heading to our house. No warning, this was NOT scheduled and we are over an hour away from home. We make arrangements for our adult son to be there so we can be done with Lowe's only to find out the screen door was sent without the top rail. It can NOT be installed without it.
So here we are, over a year later and the job is STILL NOT COMPLETED. This is beyond frustrating, disappointing, infuriating and down right unbelievable.
We have yet to actually speak to any sort of manager via phone. If I could give less than 1 star I would
