A shadow of its former self...just a bar with blah bar food now. After decades of being a top tier place, Covid crushed the life out of this old landmark restaurant. Main dining room is closed, only bar is open. So sad to see!
The Bluebird is a family owned and operated Restaurant and Tavern, founded in 1927 at this same location along the banks of the Leland River. We specialize in fresh Lake Michigan Whitefish, Perch, Walleye, and Smelt, as well as the finest Prime Rib, steaks, etc. We smoke our own meats, have an in-house bakery where we make most of our breads, rolls, desserts, and our now famous Pizza.
