I really love Ray Wiegand's. They have a better variety than their competitors and usually better prices. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly as well. Whether you are looking for garden plants or exotic house plants, I recommend Ray Wiegand's Nursery.

We have bought our Christmas trees at Weigand's for years - a 9-10 ft Douglas Fir and a 7-8 ft Douglas or Fraser Fir. They are generally fresh and look great through the holidays. This year the prices went up from $175 for the two trees to $238 (26%) if we got both. Only bought one at those prices. Why the big increase?

I've spent thousands here. Used to be reliably the best nursery in the area. The plants are not cared for the way they used to be. It's literally October & the hydrangeas are 25% off of their full prices. Most of them are spindly, sun scorched and chlorotic. The staff don't know their plants, and the people they have to call to ask don't want to be bothered.

I am 1 of the 2 “young ladies” that David was complaining about in his previous asinine review from last week. My partner and I had come in seeking advice about an infection that has started in our koi pond. We purchased this house recently from my grandmother, who hadn’t been able to take care of it for the past several years, so we are very new to this.Phil was able to tell us what was going on with our fish, with just a few pictures and giving him a verbal description of what was going on. He was able to thoroughly explain the science of the products he was recommending, and why they work the way that they do. He even gave us detailed instructions of how to add the treatment, what to do in between and when. To add to this, he’s tested our water twice. Phil was not “chatting up” anyone, he actually was helping us to solve a problem. Yes we were talking about “sick fish” because we were in the section of products that deals with treating SICK FISH, and getting advice from the expert who also deals with sick fish.Phil has pretty much saved our 3,500-4,000 gal pond and potentially dozens of our koi. My partner and I cannot thank him enough for being so knowledgeable and helpful during such a stressful moment for us.I have a feeling if my partner and I were two older men, this David guy wouldn’t have been so offended that he simply had to wait his turn.#shoutoutophil-Sincerely, two loyal customers of several years.

Jess and Phil we very helpful, kind considerate and very knowledgeable. I appreciate all the extra efforts that employee Jess spent with me explaining and showing me the great products the Wiegand's store has to hopefully help save and treat both of my peach trees issues that were caused by a bad storm.Jess thank you again for all your efforts and time with me today, high fives to ya :)

Awful customer service. We purchased 2 trees and had them planted. The stakes and tethers were saggy. I asked for them to come back out and redo the stakes. The redo was no better than the first sloppy job. I called and was brushed off saying you get one restake in a year's time. I told them the restake was still crooked and sloppy, was told "it's on you now." If you are looking for crooked trees, this is your place to shop and have them plant for you....if not, shop elsewhere, as I will be doing in the future. Poor workmanship and poor customer service.

My wife and I decided to update our landscaping. We removed all the old overgrown plants, trees, and shrubs, resulting in about 850 square ft of empty front yard garden space. We measured everything and made drawings of the space(s). We then went to Wiegands, where we were greeted by Fran. She spent over an hour with us, showing us a great variety of trees and shrubs. She was awesome, but we realized we needed design help. We made an appointment to sit down with a designer, a $60 well spent. Mary Anne was our designer. She took our drawings, photos, and information regarding sun exposure and such. She helped us choose plants, trees, and shrubs of our liking that would thrive in our space. We took her design home, studied it, and met back with her a few days later. She spent hours with us choosing every tree and plant for our project. She gave us advice on how to plant and helped us to decide which trees we should have professionally planted. In addition, we were able to stay well within our budget. I couldn't be happier with the customer service we received from both Fran and Mary Anne.

This place is a wonderful plant utopia. Variety is astounding. Of course you have the usual anywhere else plants. There are other nurseries as well but for diversity and knowledgeable staff to help you on your journey of gardening, including help with designing. My new plant this year is the popcorn plant. Fragrant leaves and flowers that look like, popcorn. I have heard people say there pricey. Here's my take on that, you get quality product that lasts ,for me and perennials I have had for several years.

Although I didn't get any of my shrubs and plants from Wiegand's because they didn't have everything that I was looking for at this time in the season, Fran was very helpful when I called on several occasions. I will definitely consider Wiegand's in the future.

My experience at Rays is always a pleasant one. This year I finally decided to plant perennials in front of my house and needed a lot of help.I was blessed to meet Cynthia Valenti who is a perennials expert at Rays. She educated me on what things to look for when planting like what areas got sun and how much during the day. Her knowledge and understanding is very impressive. She knew what to look for and where to find it very quickly based on the information I gave. She was also patient and very kind. While this nursery has excellent quality product, its choice in who represents their company is even better. Keep up the good work and keep people like Cynthia so everyone’s experience can be as wonderful as mine.

Always a good selection. Can be a little pricey but the quality is worth it. Have had great luck with porch pots that usually last all summer with minimal care/maintenance. If you can try to go during the week when there are likely to be less crowds so you have a little more room to browse there vast selection.

Wonderful nursery that has a lid wide selection of annuals, perennials, gardening accessories, and everything you need. Great to go to at Christmas also for their seasonal displays and selection. Expect to pay a higher price for the quality and upscale marketing however. I still recommend to go.
