Ever been ghosted by at bank? I have!!!I met in person with the branch manager Chris Rowe in order to obtain a home equity loan. After emailing Chris all the requested documentation and receiving a response from Chris personally that my loan was being processed, I never heard back from him. I emailed him multiple times after that, left a message on his direct line and called the branch phone number only to be told that Chris Rowe was busy and they would leave a message.I had already made arrangements for my home improvement project to begin and was forced to keep pushing back a start date only to postpone the entire project for two months while I obtained financing from a completely different financial institution.I have officially closed my accounts with Huntington. I applied for the loan through a credit union and was approved in less than 48 hours, and closed in less than three weeks. The rate I received was better than Chris Rowe offered and there were no closing costs. I was also treated MUCH better as far as customer service goes. I was informed at the time of closing my Huntington accounts that my loan application was terminated without any notification or explanation.I received notification in the mail today that the South Saginaw Huntington branch in Midland is closing permanently in January of 2024. If you encounter Chris Rowe at another bank in the area, I recommend doing business elsewhere.

Yesterday I made a CASH deposit of 1,291$ & the bank went into my account afterwards & took all of my money over drafting my account. After speaking to customer service they told me that my funds wouldn’t be available for another 24 hrs. Literally the most fraudulent bank I’ve ever banked with. Somebody on their own account that works at the bank went into my account and changed the cash deposit to a check deposit. This bank is trash and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

This bank doesn’t seem to understand how to release a lien. When the loan is paid off, that nice little box on the title is where YOU can now release it. Instead these fools send it to corporate who will send a letter. Essentially this means you cannot sell something with a lien on it, even if you bring them the payoff. They want you to pay off your loan before you sell it. Most people do not own outright. Many other issues with this bank like them wiping out our bill pay information and not offering to attempt restoring it. It’s like a teenager bank. They think they know everything but really they don’t. And they come first, customers last. Can’t wait to end this.

Switched to Huntington because chemical bank was horrible. Huntington has proven that they are only better by being friendlier. August 2020 my car (lien holder is Huntington) broke down. After speaking with the banker at this location he had informed me that my loan was unsecured (he also helped me get a hit on my credit score). I almost sold my car but I fixed it instead. Now, 2/21, the car is irreparable and the banker claims he never said that. What a huge mess up, and to not own it is pathetic. I uninsured the dead vehicle, thinking the loan was unsecured. Now I’m sitting on hold for 45 min with a loan officer trying to figure out my next step because of the unprofessional mistake coming out of this branch. I cannot wait to close this account and be done with this terrible financial institution.

I started banking here because of a promo I received in the mail for my business. So far no major complaints, I do prefer certain features offered at 5/3. I do like they still offer free accounts.
