You never know what to expect when you’re traveling for a bookstore but this one did not let me down. Lots of history books and my favorite…old children’s school books. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Walking into this store is like being hugged. The gentleman at the front was very helpful. For our first visit, he gave us a quick run-down on how the store is organized, and encouraged us to explore and ask questions if we had any. For our second visit, weeks later, he recognized us and kindly reminded us to just ask if we needed help. The selection is pretty vast, with everything from encyclopedias to coloring books in stock.

I should have allotted myself an additional hour to explore the rich variety of items in this shop. Some of what you can expect: art from the 1880s, American magazines from the 1910s, sheet music from the ‘20s, pristine Beatles 45s in picture sleeves, and many other things you’ve never seen before and will never see again. I had a great time talking with the owner, too.

Lots of genres and unique books. Could use more variety. They are in the process of remodeling. Kinda organized. Great location.I bought a book on natural fabric dying. I was charged a $1 more than the actual listed book price. Ok

My husband and I adore coming to Casperson’s on date nights! Every year we stock up on gifts for every family member during the Christmas season! Such a variety of books, so many treasures up stairs and down stairs - you have to check it out!!! Ask about the gift certificates as well - our son looks forward to his every year!!! <3 This is truly a gem in Niles!

This is such a beautiful store! It’s definitely my new favorite bookstore. It’s the perfect size- you find new gems every time you visit, but it isn’t too overwhelmingly big. There are so many gorgeous antique books in pristine condition everywhere you look, and everything is reasonably priced. It’s definitely a treasure trove. Al is so kind and helpful. I highly recommend!
