“Recently spent the weekend in Detroit to attend the Mac football championship and stayed at the Fort Ponchartrain had had a great experience. The location is ideal; Walkable to a number of sites downtown and the tram will take you to the arts district.
Notably, the hotel staff were very professional and courteous. Treat yourself to the rooftop bar that has a panoramic view of Detroit and Canada. Patrice are Craig are both expert mixologists. Patrice made me the best Kahlúa cream I’ve ever tasted. She made it very creamy. Craig prepared a tequila, lemonade concoction for my husband that he thoroughly enjoyed. They are both extremely professional and personable.”

“Our group hosts a conference for 75 people in different cities each year. In 2025 we had a fantastic time at the Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown! Communication leading up to the conference was attentive and professional, food was creative and plentiful, rooms were clean and well-tended. The level of service, from sales to front office to food and beverage, was IMPECCABLE. Each department head greeted us and checked in throughout the week; the staff recognized us and treated everyone as friends. We were so pleased and can't recommend the Cambria enough.”

“This hotel is right in front of our building and was super convenient. Sales Director, Dan Brining, was a rockstar and even assisted me with group transportation when needed, it helped me save a lot of money in transportation costs. Front desk manager, Allan Bermudez, was super helpful when I had many room changes and additional nights to be added. And not once did they tell me they couldn't accommodate. They went above and beyond for me and my group and I wholeheartedly appreciate everything they did. Our event was a huge success thanks to them!”
“Hands down the best hotel stay we've had, the entire place is incredibly cozy - we were a huge fan of the aesthetic. The Candy Bar is cute as heck and worth a visit, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly. Highly recommend The Siren.”

“My wife and I arrived early Sunday for a 3 night stay. This was our second time staying here. It's in a great location walking distance to Comerica and Ford Field. The entire staff go out of their way to be helpful. The Trolley Cafe is top Noth. The manager of the Cafe is Christian and she is a delightful woman. Last year we arrived a few minutes after the kitchen closed and she went out of her way to make sure we had something to eat. Housekeepers are spot on as well. We really couldn't ask for more. Oh the two Coney Island dog cafes Lafayette and American are 2 minutes away”
“In the spare of time I needed to crash some place and decided to come here. No lie I asked was the room good enough for 83 bucks he said it’s good and showed me some pictures. I said okay… I went into the room just for the day and ended up staying more days than I thought… rooms is very clean and so is the bathroom! I can’t stand a nasty bathroom at the rooms! Bed is very comfortable highly recommend. For the price and service it’s definitely worth it. My guy always looks out for me. They take pride into these rooms and clean like it’s their home.”

You guys upgraded her suite. She enjoyed your pool and hot tub and she enjoyed the restaurant on-site TRIA. You guys surprised her with a slice of cake in her room. “Very good, quiet hotel. The rooms are big and nice. the washroom could use an update but otherwise was clean. The breakfast options were very limited, no buffet and confined to Starbucks food/Coffee which I don't like.
Instead of relying on Starbucks, the hotel should have their own breakfast like every other hotel. Plenty of parking and close to shops and restaurants. Pool was very good too.”

“I stay at a lot of Marriotts. Fortunately, my work schedules my stays mostly within the Bonvoy family, and I've seen from good to bad throughout the years. This hotel ranks among the top, and not just because of the wonderful, handwritten note! The rooms are absolutely spectacular, with great water pressure in the shower, and the overall room and hallway decor created a warm, homey feeling. I'm super impressed. My previous stay in the area was at the Residence Inn, and I don't think I want to go back there again unless it's been totally revamped.
I also wanted to give a shout out to the staff at the breakfast buffet. Top-notch!”

“Booked The Daxton in Birmingham for a wedding weekend and it ended up being one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be the nicest Hilton hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we checked in, the service was incredible, friendly, quick, and on top of everything without being overbearing. The room was beautiful, super clean, and felt more upscale than your typical “wedding hotel” situation. The bed was absurdly comfortable, the kind where you instantly consider changing your life so you can sleep like that every night. I also appreciated the free waters and snacks, it sounds small, but it’s such a nice touch when you’re coming and going all weekend. We ended up spending a lot of time at the in-hotel restaurant and bar and both were amazing, which made the whole trip feel effortless. Phenomenal place all around, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.”

We we arrived to check in at the front desk we found that there had been an misquote in our room fees but Noah Jackson the desk clerk fixed everything for us he went above and beyond to make things right . “I stayed at the Extended Stay in Madison Heights for three nights over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price. While the hotel is older, everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hallways were always quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, professional, and friendly.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room perfectly cool. I appreciated having a kitchen in the room, and the front desk provided dishes and silverware upon request. The grab-and-go breakfast was simple but satisfying, with delicious coffee, a muffin, and a breakfast bar.
The location is convenient to the interstate, making it easy to get around, and parking was hassle-free. Overall, a great value and a comfortable stay — I would definitely return.”
