They loaned me a car that broke down to no fault of my own, and tried to hold ME responsible. On top of that, I had to fight like hell to get my $250 deposit back. This place aims to cheat people out of money. Flat out.

We rented from DTW on Thursday May 9th 2019 - Monday May 13th 2019. We were charged twice on our credit card. We picked up the rental at 6pm on the 9th and returned it by 6pm on the 13th. There was no damage to the car. Everything was left as is. We refueled the gas. In fact, the car we picked up at first was dirty. We didn't want a big car. We only wanted the standard car. They gave us a big car because did not have what we reserved. They were not even honoring our reservation at first. Seems like they want you to pay more and charge you extra. Beware of all the hidden fees!!!!

I made a rental agreement thru Priceline on my Discover card and it was accepted. However when I got to the TPA rental desk they said they did not accept Discover card. I’m from another state and that was the only card I had with me. They said if I would have read the fine print on the paperwork I would have known. I read the agreement and it said they take all major cards. I called corporate and they said the fine, fine print says it’s their discretion to change their policies. What a rip-off and a horrible upsetting inconvenience. I reported them to Priceline and the BBB. Don’t use this rental company.

Beware of this company. They will not honor your reservation. My flight was delay one day due to the recent snow storms. I spoke to the Pensacola agent in advance and explained that I would be a day late. She said no problem, we will see you tomorrow. I arrived and was told I don't have a reservation and need to book one. Now the price went from $20 a day to $110 but "they would help me out" by only charging $60 (triple the quoted rate!). I called their corporate line and was told my original quote, the one that the local branch said didn't exist, was $110 a day and not $20. I told her that $110 is the total price, not daily price. She said I was wrong that she was looking at it. Well see my attached copy and you will see I was NOT wrong. By the way the local agent said "my economy car" was not available so I had to pay for the mid-size car upgrade. You will see that my quote was for a mid-size car, not an "economy car".

Don't rent a car from this place. I had to wait a long time to get picked up at the airport, then when I returned the car they would not give me my deposit back after making repeated assurances that they would. I called the credit card company and had payment stopped. The place seems to be a well orchestrated scam. I have never written a bad review like this for anything, but the public needs to be warned.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!! I found this company though an online website and didn't even realize it was not a national company because the name was something else when I reserved the car. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident (not my fault. I was sitting at a red light and a car landed on the hood of the rental). Everyone at the DTW office was very nice but the problem came after the accident. They incorrectly and double billed my for deductible (which my insurance paid), towing (which did not happen) and some other unknown fees, which totaled almost $1700.00! I have been trying for months to get an explanation -- emails, phone calls, help from my insurance company, etc -- to no avail. No one has answered my emails or phone messages. I decided today to call and just stay on the phone til someone answered. I've been caller #1 for 2 hours with no answer! Do not get yourself near this company!!!

UPDATE*** have email receipts from their “customer care” apologizing for their unsubstantiated claim in regards to us stealing the spare tire and to expect a full refund of the deposit however they are unable to give proof of refund and said to expect 30 days for refund to appear, it’s been past the 30 days and still no refund. Upon reaching out to company to check “status” of refund, we no longer received a reply. This company is a SCAM.

Very executive!! They call to remind you of your appointment and check on you frequently. They have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Once you get to the very clean office, they offer waters and phenomenal customer service. Highly recommend and I will use this company next time I’m in this area!

I was the first checkin that day and it was very smooth. I got an Elantra for the same price as an economy at other rental places. (I'm not sure if they offer a different choice as that was all I saw.) I was late dropping off due to a snowstorm and accident on route and was a little nervous about the time it could take to checkin but before I had my bags out of the car, a young man came out to check me in. I told him I was running late so he walked around the car and said you are all set. The shuttle was waiting at the door and the friendly driver made it his priority to make sure that I made my flight. Thanks everyone. Easy Peasy.

Found this rental through priceline. The Detroit airport is huge, so it took several calls that went straight to voicemail before we got a real person on the phone to ask where we should wait for the shuttle. The stop is not in the same area as the other rental agencies, like Hertz. The printer at the rental agency wasn't working so we didn't realize until we got checked into the hotel that the car rental was about $50 more than the price quoted through priceline. We ended up getting a gas guzzling jeep (free upgrade because they didn't have the compact car we requested) and paid $15/day for an additional driver surcharge. The additional driver was my husband, on the same insurance policy as mine. A few other fees that were charged: two state of MI surcharges, airport concession, license recovery fee, environmental fee, energy efficiency fee and rental car customer facility fee. The hours that the facility was open was not convenient for early morning travel so we returned it the night before.
