If I could give a 0 rating I would. I made an appointment and drove over 30 minutes in dense fog on Christmas Eve for an Xpress haircut. The receptionist seemed surprised when I arrived and told her that I had an appointment and kept me waiting at the desk for several minutes. The stylist (Brittany Gantt) that I was scheduled with finally comes out and says that she didn't bring her hair cutting tools and asked if I minded if the other stylist (Taylor Miggs Clay) cut my hair. I told her that it didn't matter to me. Brittany comes back a few minutes later and says that Taylor didn't bring her hair cutting tools either and they wouldn't be able to service me. I was shocked and told her that I'd driven a half hour in heavy fog. When I got to my car I called back to speak to the Manager and was told that they didn't have one. Maybe that's the problem. I asked the receptionist how is it that both stylists wouldn't have their tools. She didn't like the question, was very rude and got mad and hung up on me, when she should have been apologizing for my inconvenience. I almost went back into the store to confront her regarding her treatment of me. I have gotten my hair cut twice at this location by Ken, who is fantastic. But after this experience I will never be back and would not recommend them to anyone. I spoke with the JCPenney manager and he didn't understand why the stylists wouldn't have their tools either. That's what they do for a living. I think the stylists were lying and just didn't want to do my hair. I sincerely hope that the Manager does address all 3 of them regarding this incident.

My first time and it went very well. Saladinah has created a unique haircut for me that no stylist did before: it made me dream to be a model! She is young but apparently talented to be able to over meet my expectations today.PS: a final wash was included in the service, which is nice

Called 3 time to complain. No one ever picked up the phone. Been coming occasionally for 35 yrs. $80.00 for putting my hair in a pony tail after washing and conditioning and pinning a bun on was to high. I could have done it better, especially when it lasted one day.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I have visited before and was very pleased. Today it took seven minutes to schedule an appointment- I can hear the employees iPhone ringing in the background. I finally get my appointment set. She calls back to tell me she double booked me and asked me to come later. Not very professional.

It took me 3 weeks to finally decide to write this review, mainly because my (former) stylist is a nice person but I can't let this happen to anyone else. See photo, since they don't blow dry unless you pay $10 extra I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt & thought maybe when I get home & dry/style my own hair I'll be ok. As you can see that was not the case. I had important events coming up that I couldn't attend after this haircut. After wearing a baseball hat for two weeks I went back & showed the manager who agreed it was a terrible cut & said maybe the stylist was having a bad day. Another stylist tried to fix it all the while saying to the manager & myself...look how uneven this is, all around my entire head. The bangs themselves are just horrible, I usually get much longer, wispy face framing bangs, these as you can see are blunt cut unevenly straight & way too short across my head & far back into each side. The rest of my hair was a frizzy uneven mess. I could barely explain all of this to the manager without busting into tears, her answer was "You know your hair doesn't define you" Wow, thanks. I decided I wasn't going to leave a tip but if my hair was ok after I got home I would make up for it next time but when the stylist follows you to the reception desk & instructs you on how to use the credit card machine (I use them often enough to know) including, if you want to leave a tip put in the amount now, while watching your every move you feel obligated & that upset me too. It's been 3 weeks & I am still wearing the baseball hat most of the time when I leave the house. I wish I would have just tied back the hair I used to have & spent the $50 elsewhere. So maybe she was having a bad day but that's no reason for me to be having a bad 2,3, or more months.
