In my opinion, Magnifi Financial is the worst credit union in the Twin Cities. They impose restrictions on my account that limits how I can use or spend my own money, which is unacceptable since it’s my money, not theirs. I recently opened an account there, and my experience has been nothing but frustrating and stressful. I’m extremely disappointed and am now considering closing my membership.
For example, I tried to send $525 via Zelle to another account, but the transaction was rejected due to what I believe are unwarranted restrictions. Additionally, they ran a hard inquiry on my credit report for a credit card application without my clear knowledge or consent, despite them requesting some information beforehand. I wasn’t satisfied with the service, so I canceled that application.
Overall, my experience with this credit union has been terrible. I haven’t been able to access or use my funds properly, possibly due to system glitches or account restrictions. I wouldn’t recommend this credit union to anyone.

I had my bank account hacked and Zach Lindeman was so helpful to me and made me feel reassured. I would recommend your bank to everyone. I give Zach the highest score he could receive

I have been with Financial One for 5 years and chose this bank because everyone was so friendly and willing to help anyone. The last year whenever I call and ask questions the customer service is absolutely terrible like they don’t have time to help people . The friendliness of the people just isn’t there anymore . Unfortunately I might have to switch banks because of this.

I have not had any issues with Financial One until this week as we have been members for 5 years there. We needed to replace our vehicle unexpectedly and I went in for a pre-approval on Monday. I was given the rates for the loan based on our credit etc and told we would find out that day when it was a go. The rates seemed high to me but I know that they are up more then they used to be. I did not here back from the banker so called and left a voice mail at the end of the day. Nothing. The next day called and left another voice mail for at least an update. It is now 4 days later and I have not received any communication from FO. In the mean time we found a van to purchase and ended up financing it through the dealer through Wings credit Union and we got a interest rate that was 5.5% less then we were quoted! I'm very disappointed as I said we have not had issues before but this really gave us a bad taste...

Terrible website, and loan payment site. Financed a camper through them and 98% of my payment has gone to interest. Which means it won't be paid of in the 5 year loan like it should be. After several disputes they refused to correct. That seems criminal to me.

I opened a new account with financial one with Caitlin and was done very professionally. I chose FInancial One based on the google reviews compared to other local credit unions and Financial One services. For my needs, I believe Financial One and the staff at the Blaine office will be great.

Financial one is a great credit union to do your banking with, all of their employees are very nice and easy to work with. I recommend this credit union to all of my friends and family.
