Figured out my issue and fixed it much faster than I was expecting. Explained pricing and options thoroughly. Didn't seem like I was getting scammed or lied to. Very polite and kind workers both on the phone and in person. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for making a stressful situation melt away.

The men were very helpful and explained everything in a way I could understand and make a decision about how to proceed with repairs. They respected my decision and gave me a detailed estimate of future repairs that are needed. So thankful to be in good hands with a repair team I can trust.

This will be the last time I trust any of my vehicles to Danâs.
About a year ago, I took a tire in to get repaired. The work was done quickly. I get in my vehicle and the Tire Measure Monitor warning light was illuminated.
I talked to the gentleman at the front desk and let me know that sometimes the vehicle needs to be driven to reset the sensor. Okay, no problem. The TPSM light didnât go away, brought it up, and the guy said it looks like they owed me a new sensor.
They took care of the problem and I was happy.
Fast forward to last Friday:
Since I was generally pleased with the work they did I brought my wifeâs vehicle (2017 Toyota Rav4 with 50,000 miles in practically showroom condition) in to get 4 brand new tires put on. I drop it off in the morning, the call me around lunch time to let me know it was finished. I bring my wife to pick her vehicle up, I pay, and go to leave.
My wife goes to start the vehicle, it wonât start, the battery is dead. Technician comes out, asks what the problem is, he gets a jump box, and we get the vehicle started. Thatâs where the problems start.
Once the vehicle is started, the traction control warning comes on and check engine light comes on. My wife, refusing to leave the way the vehicle is goes to get the guy at the front desk. He puts the âfreeâ diagnostic tool on the vehicle and shows a cam timing sensor alarm. His words were, âI'm not a mechanic, so I don't know what to tell you, but it wasnât our fault, we just changed the tires. Must be something wrong with it. Drive it for the weekend and if it doesnât go away bring it back on Monday and weâll put it on the âbigâ diagnostic machine, but itâll be $125.â
By the way, the reason the battery was dead was because the back hatch wasnât secured when the technician took the tires out of the back of the vehicle.
So, we get home, and decided to disconnect the battery for about a minute to see if that would clear the issues we had. I hooked the battery back up, the vehicle started, and the check engine light and traction control âoffâ light go off. Okay, problem solved.
Next day, we decide to run errands, get on the road and tire pressure light comes on. Hmmm⌠look at all the tires, they seem to be okay. I think, maybe itâs cold and the tires are just low to where theyâre just at the threshold to trigger the sensor. I get home, inflate the tires to factory recommended pressure, the light is still one. I research what the light means and it says it may be a bad sensor.
I tell my wife to get a hold of them in the morning.
Wife lets me know, yeah, they think itâs bad sensor, itâll be $90 to replace.
I, well anyone, should be able to go get a service done on their vehicle, pay for that service, and then drive away confidently with zero problems. Instead, itâs been a weekend of wasted time and frustration due to someone elseâs negligence.
This vehicle is very well maintained, we take it to this place, and end up with problems. And this isnât the first time weâve had problems, at least the first time they took some accountability, and thatâs why I returned.
If they donât want to take responsibility for what transpired, thatâs fine, weâll pay to get the sensor replaced, it just wonât be from them.
We will not return nor recommend Dan's to anyone needing their vehicle serviced.
