Tutor Time was initially a great place for our infant and he was there for 3 years before we decided to leave. As an infant, moving infant, toddler, & 2 year old there had been regular activities & lesson plans covering science, basic math, sensory tables, ABCs, etc. There were quarterly conferences with the parents/guardians.About a year ago, multiple long time teachers left for other jobs & after this, the classrooms became overcrowded, unqualified people were hired, and lesson plans along with conferences ceased to exist. Our son came home multiple times angry, sad, & with bite marks. Despite asking for more information about what we could do to improve his life there or what seemed to be causing his big emotions, nothing changed & we were just told "this is normal behavior". The director promised to look into the lack of lesson plans & all they did was document the morning story time. The rest of the day was unstructured. Our son didn't want to go there anymore despite his friendships with his very good friends because there was no consistency with who was in charge in his room. There were different teachers & aides every day. When we decided to leave, we told him it was because he is a big kid now & big kids go to new schools. However, one of his teachers at Tutor Time told him he was leaving to go to a school "to teach him how to behave"2 months ago, this location was under a DHS investigation for a restricted disciplinary act against a child. I also witnessed & reported a new teacher screaming at 4 month old infants. Despite this, she was kept there for a few more weeks before she left. Our rate was increased multiple times per year all in the name of being able to hire better people, however, untrained people were consistently hired instead. The bright spots that Tutor Time has going for them are both Miss Brittany's, Miss Laurel, Miss Grace, and Miss Alison. They are wonderful human beings

It’s sucks that all the recent reviews I’m finding for the past couple months online suck. I was interested in putting both of my children here but it only seems that it has been a great childcare yearsss ago like 4+ years ago. What happened?

Scheduled a tour, of which we showed up 7 minutes early for. Waited for 12 minutes behind the locked doors, ringing the doorbell 3 times before someone finally showed up. However, they completely ignored us and walked away. Never did get our scheduled tour.

Twice in the past 3 months this location has left the controlled access door propped open. I talked with Lisa after the first incident and she assured me it would not happen again. A couple months later the door was propped open again and again no one was in the lobby. It's hard to trust a daycare with the security of your kids when they can't even close a security door. I do not trust this daycare to keep my kid safe.I had a conversation with the District manager about these incidents. Caroline provided no detail as to how they will address this issue. She also defended her employees for using a "backup plan" rather than following company security policy.

I just got hired at Tutor Time and I am loving it! I have worked at other daycares and Tutor Time seems to be the best so far. I can't explain how caring the teachers are and employees. Everyone is so welcoming and the managers are excellent. I would definitely recommend this daycare facility to anyone who has children that need to be in daycare.

Tutor Time has an excellent program! My children were SO prepared for school, both academically and socially after attending here. The teachers and administration are all kind, helpful, attentive, and encouraging.

We cannot say enough about Tutor Time in Maple Grove! We had a friend recommend them and we feel SO lucky to have our son enrolled. From the moment we walked in the doors, we were treated like family. We are first time parents and I can honestly recommend Tutor Time to ANYONE- the staff at Maple Grove is STELLAR. My son absolutely ADORES them. Every day when I drop him off and he sees his teachers, he gets a HUGE smile on his face! They truly take the time to get to know your child, which is such a gift. They also go above and beyond- the curriculum is amazing and my son has developed skills SO fast with their guidance! They do so many fun art projects and give the kids experiences that I wouldn’t even think to do at home! The Brightwheel app they use is also just phenomenal- we LOVE getting all the fun pictures of our son while he is there! Tutor time absolutely helps meet you and your child where you are at- they have helped us through the transition from bottles to promoting solid foods, and are so happy to mirror what you do at home. The food selection is INCREDIBLE- they just got an award for having such a good variety of meals! It’s awesome to see my son be able to try such a variety of food. The staff are highly trained and professional, and they take the time to get to know us as parents as well! Their communication is just wonderful- I know I can send an email or make a phone call and I will be able to get my question answered within the day! On top of all their amazing staff they are UNBELIEVABLY flexible with schedule and staffing. Since we registered, I have had 2 job changes + lots of schedule changes with my newest job. Tutor Time has been SOOOOO understanding and flexible with schedule. They even offered to look into their staffing to add an extra day one week when my son was home sick for one of the days! That kind of flexibility and willingness to help you as a family out is what really makes Tutor Time one of a kind. My husband and I say all the time how truly lucky we are to have found a place like Tutor Time. Linsey is the Manager and is just fabulous to work with. She and Sam the Assistant Manager are there every day! They also have such a presence in the classrooms- I see them supporting both the teachers and the kids on top of their day-to-day work. And finally- both of James’ infant teachers Miss Brittney and Miss Susan just celebrated 10 year anniversaries of working at Tutor Time! I think that speaks for itself! Thank you Tutor Time of Maple Grove- we only wish everyone could experience how truly wonderful you are! :) - Katy, Ryan and James Noack

Went in for an interview, and was extremely impressed by the facility, faculty, and philosophies employed by this location in particular. Very warm and friendly environment, perfectly conducive for generating and edifying personal, emotional, and social growth in early childhood development. :)

When it came time to find a daycare for our son we did an extensive search in the Maple Grove/Plymouth/Minneapolis area. We took a lot of factors into consideration and visited almost 13 in the area. Tutor Time kept popping back up at the top of our list and we decided to go with them and trust our gut. After selecting them our son was born with dwarfism and while he is on track cognitively and participates in all of the activities, he was slower developing his motor skills and that is where Tutor Time impressed us the most. They have always made sure our son was respected, they have always followed the orders of our specialists with what they can and can not do, and I know that the joy my son has when we walk in and out of that daycare each day is because he is loved and cared for by professionals that are doing their job. I would recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a place where their child will be respected, valued, loved, and will learn so much for school preparation and for life. The staff and the curriculum speaks for itself, and I sing high praises to all of it.

As a former infant-through-school-age teacher, I was reluctant to ever put my child in daycare. I have been a stay-at-home mom for almost five years, and that was fine with me! However, when we had the opportunity to enroll our daughter at no cost to us (thank you scholarship!), it became a consideration. I am also a full-time grad student, and balancing an active child and a demanding academic life got a little challenging. For the first time ever, I enrolled my daughter at a center - specifically THIS center. It was not without some pretty thorough research and decision-making. My child is happier around other children, and that wasn't going to be happening at home with me. This is her third day, and she loves it. She wants to eat dinner at school. She wants to sleep at school. She's dreading that day that she won't get to go. Everything is AMAZING. I had one small concern about something she reported, and the response to that completely blew me away. Before accusing or overreacting, I took it to social media to see if anyone else had experienced the same thing. A few hours later, I got a call from the director. She took the time to really listen to my concerns, and had a plan of action. She made plans to touch base with me about it later today. She assured me that MY CHILD is important, to her and to the center, and that all of my concerns will be listened to and taken seriously. I was happy before. I am THRILLED now. Now I am 100% positive that if anything happens, it will be addressed promptly and appropriately. Now I KNOW that the director is an advocate for me and for my child, and will do what is best for US. This is an amazing thing. Childcare should be based on relationships. As long as Becky is in charge of this Tutor Time, I have full confidence that her passion and enthusiasm for children and for learning will result in center that is ideal for children and parents alike. Five enthusiastic stars for great customer service and fantastic relationship building!
