Bought a futon and frame their for my UMN sophomore. The owner was pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest about the pros and cons of different frames and futons. I left feeling like I got a great product for a fair price. Highly recommend.

Our experience here was incredibly frustrating and expensive!
We ordered a custom cover for our loveseat futon and paid for it in full. When it arrived in late summer, due to some health and family issues, we were delayed in putting it on. Since it is on our screen porch, we decided to wait until spring to avoid the harsh winter.
When we put it on the following spring, we were appalled to see it was way too big. We called John and he agreed we ordered it correctly but they made it wrong. We asked for a replacement and noted that he could sell the incorrect one in the store as it was a standard "full" size. After a few calls and texts, he said "ok" but never followed through with the correct product. Several unanswered civil texts later, we gave up! So, they have our money and we have a useless cover.
We recommend not supporting a business and owner John Thorud that will keep your money after admitting they screwed up!

It’s a few months shy of a year since I bought a mattress and box spring from here, and it was such a great experience. I told John what I was looking for and he recommended a great mattress that’s holding up really well!
They offer delivery to your home, and since they have a factory in town it’s quite fast. I think I walked in at around 3, and by 8 that night they had delivered the mattress and box spring easy peasy.
Affordable too! Very easy to stay within my budget. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mattress in the twin cities.

They sold me a bed that had over two cuts in it! Then they were super rude about how they handled it! I paid $630 which is not bad but the bed will not last long with all these tears in it and they don’t look fresh.

Salesman guy is very nice, so if youre looking to avoid spending money please politley ask him to sit there like a stone so as not to influence you with his warm, charismatic personality.But why are you looking to avoid spending money? Realized I haven't left a review, so here goes - when I decided that it was time to replace my bed frame and mattress, I am glad that I decided to support a local business (within walking distance of my apartment).
I paid about $1,200 for a bed frame and mattress that do not require a box springs, and the bed frame is much more solidly built than the IKEA one it replaced, which had been moved one too many times.
The mattress is the right combination of firm and soft, and I can tell the difference when I'm sleeping away from home. I can also say that the mattress is a higher level of quality than the IKEA one it replaced, and still feels clean and new one year later.
I will also say that working with the owner was great, because he let me browse independently and answered questions as needed, and also recommended the best sellers, which worked for me.
They do charge a 3% convenience fee for credit card sales, but offer a 2% discount for Bitcoin purchases, which is interesting. I decided to just pay the 3% instead of having to take out a large amount of cash.
The owner delivered the frame and mattress himself during evening hours so that I didn't have to take off work, and was very helpful with carrying it up to my apartment and setting it up. I would absolutely shop here again, and if you're looking to furnish a cabin, they had a lot of great lodge style options.
