One of the coolest bookstores I've visited. They have an endless number of signed first editions from a long list of authors, including premium binding limited print run signed first editions as well. Most recent signed books are regular retail prices. The older and more rare ones can get up there. This will be a regular visit for me when visiting nearby family.Finally, the employees were very very helpful and took their time to show me around, answer questions, and even tried to find a hard to find book for me. Excellent!

One of the most acclaimed bookstores in the country is somewhat of a hidden gem in Jackson, MS. Everything about Lemuria is fantastic, from the setting and environment, staff, selection, even the playlist. The breadth and depth of their collection cannot be overstated especially considering the amount of signed copies. The breakdown of sections is impressive in itself, instead of sweeping general sections there are nearly shelf by shelf categories. I love Lemuria!

This is a small business book store. They have so many books in so many styles of covers. They have books from floor to ceiling! The staff are amazing! They are book lovers themselves. I recommend them because this is a bookworm's dream; you never know what you will find.

Great local bookstore. Super knowledgeable staff, loads of options. Will order stuff they don't have, which in the Amazon/B&N era feels like a lot. Only complaint.

Giving this bookstore a 5 star rating!! Attention to detail the best I have encountered in a long time. My book arrived on time prior to Christmas, packaged to prevent damage and even had a mylar cover on it!!! Never had a bookstore place a mylar cover on a purchase before!! I SO SO appreciate that as it saves me time during a very busy season of the year. Blessings sent to Lemuria Books from Ohio...A very happy ? customer. Will return.

Lemuria is a beautiful escape from the rest of the world! They have a diverse selection of books and a wonderful children's room. It's a great bookstore to buy gifts. The staff is always helpful and personable. I encourage everyone to support Lemuria!

This place just has an awesome atmosphere. It is very obvious that everyone who works here loves books, and are more than willing to spread that love to anyone who asks them for help. My absolute favorite part is the scent of books that sits heavy in the air. This place is just so cozy, and the selection is fabulous. It is very refreshing to have such a nice place to shop for my books locally. Pay them a visit, you won't regret it.

Absolutely beautifull bookstore with real helpfull staff who really know their stuff. They really have practically everything. The interior is also magnificant. Even if you don't read, you'll come back to this store.

Had to stop by this cornerstone independent bookstore in Jackson on a long overdue trip home. Lemuria evokes a centering curiosity when you enter - I've yet to see someone come in just for the one thing in their list! You have to linger, wander, and pull a book from a shelf to peruse - aspects of a thoughtful life not well developed in other places. I value their customer care, author autographed books, and archival research services. Lemuria is part of the lifeblood of Mississippi. If you're in the area, go by!

Love the cozy, laid-back vibe. You're free to browse leisurely with no employee hounding you. They're eager to help but keep the right amount of distance away. Fantastic selection of books.

I first started going to Lemuria way back when it was over at Highland Village. So, yes I'm old.The new place at Banner Hall is nice and they have a wide selection (and a huge selection of children's books and signed books as well) with a knowledgeable staff. So if you've got a question about books, they'll likely have an answer.Highly recommended.

Love this store. I live in upstate NY. Have called them twice about John Grisham's new books. My requests were answered in a timely manor. Received both books signed by John Grisham and first editions. I wish I lived closer, I would be in their store all the time.Sweet people to talk too also. Thank You all so so much.

So this is your typical bookstore. Nothing fancy but they try real hard to make it feel fancy. Go to books a million, it's cheaper and it's the same thing.
