Went for a little adventure with my fiance, son, and Australian shepherd. We had a lot of fun walking around. We fed the fish. The weather was nice. We regularly visit because we live 11 miles away. Definitely a clean park and worth visiting. Educational and beautiful.Playground: Had an average sized playground for kids.Restrooms: Had restrooms that are clean and easy to locate.Dog-friendliness: Took my Australian Shepherd and had a blast.Picnic area: Had tables and areas to picnic throughout.

A gem in the state of Missouri, Bennett Springs Fish Hatchery and waterfall was a neat place to take pictures. We saw all kinds of fishermen, women and kids trying to catch the rainbow Trout that live in the stream. You have to possess a Missouri state fishing license, then pay $4 for a Trout ticket to be able to fish. You can keep up to 4 Trout, most people we saw catching them were releasing them back into the stream. It is a cool place to stop and watch them fly fish!!

Beautiful little park in Missouri. It's a big draw for fishermen but has plenty to offer for others such as hiking, floating on the river, camping, or just chilling by the beautiful water. ❤️

Historic state park with several amenities! Great to see the state parks returning to normal after the pandemic. Wish the nature center would have been open on Tuesday while we were there. Sad to see that the pool is no longer in use as well. Positives: camping was great, and trout fishing was good. Sad that people were cleaning their fish and throwing in the river/stream, kinda gross and smelly in areas. Other areas were beautiful in the stream. Ate a couple times in the dining lodge and had very good and affordable meals! Also the camp store is very nice, everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful as we were first time trout fishers. We were able to get our licenses and rent fishing poles. Do it the night before you want to fish! The fish hatchery area is cool to see as well. Had great summer fun. Several nearby outfitters to rent canoes, kayaks, and rafts if you want to float the Niaingua.

Great time with family, friendly and helpful staff, loads of fun. Was nice to have the restaurant cook our trout for us.Cabins were old and worn out with non-working appliances but we still had a blast.

Of the 3 state parks for trout fishing in Missouri, Bennett has been a favorite of most people I know for a long time, even though it is the furthest from St. Louis. The friendly, long-serving staff, comparitively clean facilities, and awesome park make this an awesome place. The people around are almost always friendly and courteous folks who enjoy sharing the experience of fishing. While there are other things to do besides fish, such as tour the hatchery or wildlife museum, enjoy playgrounds, or dine in the restaurant, this is still a place built around fishing and camping so you need to have a desire to do that to really enjoy the experience. I already have decades of great memories in this rustic state park with a 100 year history, and hope for a few decades more with my kids and so on.

Ive been coming down to this park and area for float trips and nature hikes since i was a boy. What a fun and beautiful place! We took a 4 day trip and stayed at Sand Spring Resort, right around the corner from Bennett Spring. My son loved feeding the trout and seeing the fly fishing was a spectacle in itself. I can't wait to get my trout fishing permit and hit the river sometime soon. This state park seems to go above and beyond expectations. We will be back, for sure.

An absolutely beautiful and well-maintained park. Always has been one of my favorite places to visit, growing up in this area. The little reptile house is awesome, the restaurant is tasty, and most of all the area where you can feed the rainbow trout is SO COOL!

Great fun Trout fishing and nice walking trails. I like it best in early spring when the flowering trees are blooming and the temperature is cool.

VERY good campground communities both of RV and cabin build. Rivers and lakes to fish are a rocks throw away from the grounds. There’s enough hiking trials to make you hate it! Varying distances of gravel and grass trails. Would recommend visiting in the Spring when everything begins to bloom but not too much.

Anything and everything you could want in an outdoor adventure. Bennett Springs State Park has some awesome amenities. Rather you're just out for the day to hike, fish, have lunch, meet up with friends, or spend time with the family, you won't be disappointed.

We stopped overnight traveling on I 44. About 15 miles off highway. Shower house was a solid concrete room nothing fancy. There are not a lot of options off the highway in this area. 19 bucks for full hook up. Water was turned off in February except for shower house. Great overnight stay

Beautiful place, great fishing. I've been coming here for 69 yrs, but avoid the state park restaurant like the plague. We are there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both times the food was cold, overcooked ant just plain poor tasting. When you can mess up scrambled eggs, there is no hope. Six of us had breakfast and all of our eggs were cold, and the biscuits tasted as if they were baked the day before . All in all a miserable experience.
