The rooms are out dated and the service was shifty at best.everyonne seemed friendly at first but turned hostile if asked to leave.

Stay away at all costs!Horrible smoke smell! They obviously allow smoking (heavily) everywhere in the hotel. Disgusting Stains on all furniture. No thermostat or heat in our room. No hot water in the other room. It was so bad we couldnt tolerate staying within 20 minutes of showing up (and not getting a refund)It’s nothing short of disgusting. Hands down the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.All decor and furniture from the 1960’s or 70’s at best.When leaving and asking for a refund, the clerk was walking around without shoes or socks behind the bar. Gross!Terrible experience. Please do not go here.

David was the only person in the area who answered the phone at 2am when I was driving until I couldn't anymore. On top of his amazing service, the room surprised me. Tv, mini fridge, private bathroom, and most importantly clean sheets over a mattress pad. I've paid more for worse. You won't find this deal anywhere else.Safety: Trustworthy management and a safe room in a good area

Actually pretty clean and the guy that checked us in was really nice . Its not fancy or anything but you have everything you need and a little more. Our room even had a mini fridge .

Built in 1905, the "Commercial Hotel" was a mainstay of Forsyth. Now it's the Howdy Hotel, but not much has changed. Rooms are small with a module with shower/toilet/sink added later. Some rooms are rented on a longer basis and some of these use the common facilities. But, the rooms are clean, air conditioning works and our room had a new television (I had to program it). Note - for $48 we got a one bed room. For $5 more, we got a room with two beds.... and a complete kitchen! Loved the full-size refrigerator. For the first time ever, the WiFi worked well. No breakfast, but the attached Speedway Cafe has excellent food. Their chicken-fried steak was something special, but it has declined somewhat over the past few years. There is also a bar on the main floor and the beer selection has greatly improved under the new owners. No wine, though. If you stay here, take some time to walk through the downtown area and note the historic buildings, each with a plaque. Be sure to see the county courthouse at the end of the street.
