Sax & Fryer has an amazing collection of books, especially relating to the west. Such a beautiful, historical gem!

Probably the best & historical stationary stores ever. Unfortunately, Mr. Fryer is no longer part of that great store due to age & health. All the best to him!

I have shopped at Sax & Fryer Co for over 30 Years and have always loved the service. You'll find things you didn't beieve still existed. Stop in and just browse, better yet, take your kids in for a stroll into history, you all will enjoy it.

Called no answer. Tried to come in during listed hours between 9-5. I went to come in at 3:55 and they are closed with no sign on the door.

Cool book store- great collection. Would have purchased several books here but the old ladies were rude, unfriendly and not helpful in the least.

The sell art supplies, office supplies, books, and magazines. Oldest store in Livingston (turned 138 years old in May 2021). Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great selection of everything.

This Bookstore is the finest example of a great small family business and Customer Care that I have ever experienced in my 60 years of Life! at least after my Mom and Dads store.

I knew I loved Livingston MT for the drive over from Bozeman MT and for the galleries and coffee but today was extra special! We found Sax & Fryer! I never did get around to the books, it was all the other goodies! Bought a fountain pen and two replacement water color brushes (replacing the two our dog ate). Who ever orders the books does a great job of curation. And one of the woman that worked there and I had a great time chatting since we'd both been cartographers in our early lives, both had used hand cranked cash registers and had both lived in the Denver area, a few years even at the same time! Too bad it is a 1200 mile round trip! Next summer...
