Cool stuff but the guy who owned the store closed it literally 20 minutes after it opened to have a break and asked if he could help us with anything or leave. I mean I get having a break and all but 20 minutes after opening is a little bit janky

The tall older man with glasses made me more uncomfortable than I’ve ever felt in an establishment. He followed me around addressing me multiple times and ultimately confronted me on something that was apparently against store policy. Normally I would apologize and get over it but I don’t like having someone constantly over my shoulder annoying me and talking down on me while I’m shopping, so instead of continuing to try and shop and be made uncomfortable by him I just decided to leave. He kept pestering me as I was walking out. I didn’t say a single word to him as I was leaving and he kept trying to instigate an argument with me. If something is against policy then it’s necessary to stop it from happening, but to keep talking down to me and trying to instigate an argument is completely inappropriate. I should be able to quietly exit an establishment without having the employee trying to get me to have an argument with him.

The store and it’s products are fine at best, the pricing was all over the place. The real problem is the man who was running the store; he was super aggressive and made us all very uncomfortable. He seemed bothered that we were there and followed me around the whole time. Literally followed me and watched me while I tried to shop. Talking erratically at me (unprompted) about how he can pick and choose when to open and close the store. It was so incredibly weird. He seemed like he was on a stimulant type drug tbh. He made us so uncomfortable, we had to leave. I absolutely will not go back to this place bc of him. Rather tall, thin man, shabbily dressed, and carrying a baby if you can believe it. I would not recommend Loose Moose to anyone bc of this guy’s negative and off putting behavior. Some good news! There are similar stores within walking distance who offer a much more pleasurable shopping experience.1. Fact and Fiction, better book selection and a very friendly staff.2. The Pink Elephant has a better vintage clothing selection and at a more reasonable price point. Very welcoming staff as well.

Had a five star experience shopping here. There's a large variety of curated clothes, and they actually had things in my size (rare). Their playlist is really good, nothing grating or annoying, and the guy working was super friendly and helpful. Walked out feeling like I'd found some hidden treasure or something lol.

Really great thrift shop with some great quality vinyl, antiquarian books, used boots and leather jackets and costume jewelry. I'm just a tourist here and this is as good as anything I have back in LA or more so. Nice curation!

I was very excited to find a secondhand shop while visiting Missoula with such a varied selection of books. I picked some off the shelves to look through, and there wasn’t much room, so I sat in the aisle to browse (as I’ve witnessed often in the bookstore I worked in for 2 years and done myself at other shops). No one was in the store except the 1 person I came with and the employee manning the register. At shift change, an tall male employee started hovering by us, pacing around, clearly keeping an eye on us. After about 20 minutes, no one else had entered the store, but he announced to us we weren’t allowed to sit on the floor because it deters customers from walking down the aisle (again we were the only customers in the store). We had books in our hands that we planned to purchase and walked out without buying a thing. He followed us outside to repeatedly say “have a nice day” despite us being standoffish and clearly uncomfortable, as if to make a point.

Excellent curated pieces. The shop girl (who was at least the manager if not the owner) was playing awesome music and was very friendly.

Me and my friends LOVED this place! We of course made a purchase, but we probably just spent an hour in this place trying on outfits (such as a flapper dress with a beret) and doing a little fashion show for eachother. The girl behind the counter did not seem annoyed at all at our antics and was very helpful and friendly. There were so many fun clothes and I ended up spending way more money than intended but it was so worth it! Wonderful local business to support :)
