Opened my account in 1990. I am frustrated that they changed the online banking app and made me change my password. Now the app doesn't work at all. Incredibly annoying new online system. I chose my original password for a reason and now I can't use it. Always some issue with this place. Going in tomorrow to close my account and switch to a different bank. Really stupid clearwater!

This company has not been a good quality company for banking . This bank does not have good security for its online banking system . I have had people hack two different accounts and clearwater was no help . I was not able to use the app after hours to stop the card from being used further . I would not recommend to use this bank . I have known many people who have had the same issue as I have had. This bank does not have a good system to prevent people from accessing your
account. WATCH OUT!!!

Rockiest experience with a credit union I've had by far. A branch banker opened an account for me they weren't allowed to, called me 1 mo later saying to add a joint owner to it to fix the issue, then closed the account soon after without any notice but agreed to reopen it with the joint owner. I added the joint owner to the account in question but they then put the joint owner on all of my accounts with 0 warning and without my permission. Their communication is definitely lacking and it seems they just do things and wait for you to find out about it in online banking and ask about it; there's no proactive communication to keep you informed with what they're doing to accounts and it's already eroded any trust I may have had in them during 3 short months of banking with them. Not to mention their mobile app and online banking are ancient and provide a worse experience than Bank of America. I wasn't ever planning to touch Wells Fargo with a 10 foot pole if someone else was pushing, but my experience with the WF branch across the street from Clearwater's Reserve St branch has already been astronomically better due to honest communication and being kept informed with what's they're doing to my accounts & money. Plus their online banking isn't straight out of 1999.
To their credit, upon visiting a branch, the teller I worked with on getting things set up properly was sincerely apologetic for my experience and did everything she could to make sure I understood how Clearwater’s unique accounting system works so I could have what I wanted done the way I wanted it done. I appreciate that what she did to make things right but see that as a reflection of her character more than the credit union’s as a whole. As an institution, Clearwater still really needs to work on rudimentary communication.

Staff are poorly trained. Have had more than one instance at this specific location where I was misinformed in a way that caused me issues with my accounts later. Any serious questions I would recommend asking management and NOT the teller.

I have been a member since I was a teenager. I always have a pleasant experience when I need any financial help. I want to give a special SHOUT OUT to Louise for her exceptional customer service. She explained all the different aspects of some financial changes that I have been going through!! They have helped so much to lift the burden of financial changes that I have been experiencing. I'm getting set up for online banking I do the user name and password get that done than a screen pops up with notification preferences Gmail,Outlook etc than I get a one time code number than it goes downhill from there and I put in the number and username than it tells me I'm using the wrong username and password what gives

So I got a direct deposit notification from Wells Fargo saying that my pay was received on the 1st and now I can't access my funds till the 4th. so why does it take clearwater or Wells Fargo 72 hours for my direct deposit to hit my account when my payday is on the 1st

Terrible customer service - Clearwater Credit Union was hacked in May of 2023 and didn't notify any of customers until 30 days after the was hacked. ALL of my personal information was compromised. This bank should not be in business

In 6 years I never thought I'd be having this many issues with my local credit union. I will be closing my accounts, and using venmo from now on. I will also be issuing a claim with FDIC to issue a refund after my accounts are closed so that my credit is paid in full.

It's about as good of a financial institution as you can get. Plus it's local. I never get the feeling that they're trying to take advantage of the customers the way the big banks do.

Careful getting a loan here, they love to kick you when you’re down. They are friendly and willing to work with you, but once they decide that you don’t belong in Missoula, they’ll do very little to extend support and the loan officers will speak condescendingly towards you.

One of the worst most inept credit unions I've ever dealt with. Overdraft fees are ridiculously high and randomly they hold deposits even after years of good history.The app is a mess of what people who do their banking on a PC think that people want from an app. They seem to take forever to process payments so I stopped using bill pay, but it was a wreck to setup anyways so I never got far. Internal transfers are a pain and overly complicated even just to pay my card payment I have to initiate a whole transfer manually. Should be an auto pay option.I've yet to discover one perk about this institution. If you like to micromanage every aspect of your money this may be your place.
