Best place in town for that personal gift that really says I was thinking of you when I saw this. I've been coming here all my life for those special gifts for my mom and she's saved every single one. From sweet knick knacks to lotions and wine glasses, I've purchased a little of everything from time to time and it's never been disappointing. Best place in town.

This place is super cute!! They have soo many unique gifts and one of a kind items. If you have someone hard to shop for I recommend coming here to check this place out! They have stickers and stones with words of encouragement and they have books and socks and cups and cards. They have candles and bags and all sorts of items that you would love to give to someone else or keep for yourself lol! They have journals that are soo cute with different designs and the owners are super nice and so is the adorable dog that keeps company! Seriously though you should check them out if you need a unique gift or have someone that is hard to shop for because I guarantee it's here that you will find something and fall in love with this one of a kind shop!

We were welcomed by one of the workers right away. They have an amazing assortment of unique items. They also seem to support local artists of all kinds. We found several things at fair prices. The woman who rang up our items was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Great place to shop

I've been meaning to visit The Purple Avocado for quite some time now. A friend of mine referred me to the wonderful little gift shop and said it had a something for everyone. I brought my 12 year old daughter with me (she loves to shop) and we were both pleasantly surprised by the terrific array of books, gifts, and assortment of products that they offer. From cute novelty socks to holiday cards, ornaments, window decorations, books, home decor and more, my daughter and I spent quite a bit of time perusing the lovely store. We ended up purchasing some chocolates, socks, and a mermaid wind chime (my daughter, not me). Owners Sue and Stan were warm and welcoming, just what you would come to expect from a couple who has owned the shop for decades. Super nice, lovely people. If you're in Carson City and you're looking for something unique, something special, visit the Purple Avocado!!
