On August 2nd, I walked into the Chase Bank branch in Incline Village without an appointment to open a new business account. The branch was empty, and it seemed like the employees were almost just waiting for someone to help. I was assigned to Mr. William Mathis, who immediately gave off an unapproachable vibe, like he just didn’t 'feel' like working. He informed me that I needed to schedule a 90-minute appointment to open a new account, even though I have multiple accounts with Chase already. My gut told me to just go to another branch, but I decided to give it a chance, thinking everyone can have an off day.
I scheduled an appointment for the following week on 8/9, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, things only got worse. I arrived on time for my appointment, but Mr. Mathis made me wait 20 minutes while he was on the phone. When he finally ushered me in, I could tell right away that he didn’t care about my time. There was an issue with getting the new account open, and Mr. Mathis showed zero interest in helping me. I have never felt so dismissed in my life.
Because of this awful experience, Chase will be losing a customer. I really feel that Mr. Mathis is doing a great disservice to this branch and to the bank's reputation overall. I highly recommend avoiding this branch if you value good customer service.

I went in to pick up a doc to open a biz account. I knew I wouldn't be able to meet with someone without an appointment - BUT Jacob Wilkinson, branch Assistant VP, went over and beyond for me. Jacob was friendly and incredibly helpful!

Unprofessional staff. I did ask straight question and they said you good. All they do only appointments… been waiting one week! To get oh we’re sorry we can’t do that. This bank look like sleeping room. Barely walking and don’t know they job.

Very unhelpful. In trying to open an account my friend was sent away with different information several times- each time with a different excuse. No one to help, incorrect paperwork, etc.. even though she followed the instructions they provided each time. Really a frustrating experience

I decided to give this bank one last chance and when I went it yet again Kathy was on her phone as I came in and she didn't even bother to look up. I've talked to a couple different people in town who I know bank there too and they have had very similar experiences. Very disappointed in chase for allowing this to continue!

I'm not sure why they bother to keep this branch open. Only the ATM is available on weekends and it is out of order most of the time. The staff is friendly enough but the faces change so often it's impossible to build a relationship. Thank goodness for online banking. If you need an ATM on weekends be prepared to drive to Truckee. ( as I did during a snow storm today.)

Small branch but newer and very nice location! Banker Nicole who did our notary was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

First off, we finally have a Chase in Lake Tahoe! After two years of banking only when i went out of town, it's such a relief to be able to come here! The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. They helped me order a new card and went through the entire process of setting up Apple wallet. I come here about once a month and it feels like i come to see my friends because that's how great the employees are. Would love to share my experience with the branch manager because there is customer service and then there is a genuine interest in helping others. That's what this team has, a genuine love for helping others.
