This is on the main drag through town closer to Vegas. The room is adequate, clean but dated. The steps are a bit steep but the upstairs is mainly covered. Parking is all around the backside with rooms facing a courtyard. The buffet on Friday night I would compare to campus dinning in presentation, did not eat there. Casino had plenty of security and was smokey.

Hope anyone that reads this review is well informed about these issues at this location an knows about the risk of such things occurring…Location was a very disappointing visit,we made sure to discussed with the front desk about having a small pet, an lady said only one room was available an then one of the maids made a huge ordeal about not allowed to have pets on the side of the hotel we were put in…Front desk called several times while trying to unload out cargo into the room saying we had to leave for not informing them of having a pet with us,which was a different person than the one that checked my self an family members into the hotel…The person behind the counter made numerous rude statements about how to handle the situation “very unprofessional” instead of informing us of options in a proper manner with a sense of experience of being that this was listed as one of the better hotels to stay at in the area…None of the rooms had a microwave or refrigerator not even a coffee maker which was a shock.I’ve stayed in many many hotels through out the states an travel alot so this was a huge upset. It would have been better if the excuses didn’t change each time my self an my family asked about what sort of adjustment would be made due to the mix up of our stay, the last statement that was giving to us about room changing due to having a small pet with us really made next to no sense, there was a event taking place over the weekend so lying about availability is one thing but saying no vacancy yet had more than enough empty rooms with out explanation is and was ludicrous during our stay we seen maybe 7 guess the entire time. After the room switch we moved out vehicle to a spot closer to the room the parking lot had 3 other vehicles in it an the young man yelled an hollered about the parking job was interfering with their work to maintain the grounds not a single person was approached about their parking location, which was pretty bizarre being that the closes person to out room had multiple animals large and small…Rooms: Horrific, out of date with up-keepPet friendly room had the most disgusting odor that even after purchasing scented candles and incense the oder out weighed the funk of the spotted carpet of previous visitors…Noteworthy details: I travel coast to coast many times a year was beyond disgusted with my family having to witness such a stay, and would not even stay with a comp in a top rated room if offered, thats how bad the experience was…

We went to the Breakfast Buffet for the first time last weekend. The exhibition cooking at the Omelette Station was great. David was very friendly, entertaining and a great chef. The omelettes were delicious! Amber is an excellent food server and the maitre d'/cashier Sandra was very efficient. The Security Officer and his staff were very welcoming and helpful along with the Casino Bartender. We wanted to make sure it wasn't just a flute, so we went back during the week and ordered off the menu and it was also very good, especially the Turkey Dinner as it was real turkey with gravy, dressing, cranberry and a baked potato. The swing shift Food Server, Teya, was great. We went back today and Amber, Matt and Lelia made it a great dining experience. All the employees whom we have come into contact with have been very friendly, well groomed, representing the company extremely well and we hope they are recognized for the great job that they do! Saddle West is now our favorite Hotel and Casino in Pahrump!

Absolute nightmare of a stay! I checked in on a Friday night and I had my dog so I was in a pet friendly room. Around 8pm the dog in the room next to me started howling and barking and I was hoping it would stop. Come 10pm it did not stop, so I called the front desk and asked if I could change rooms but they were sold out. I tried to deal with it and go to sleep with my white noise machine on full blast. Then at about 11pm the front desk calls my room to confirm I have a dog. They then try to tell me that multiple rooms were calling to complain about my dog barking. I had to correct them that it was the room next to me and I was one of the people who called! I continued to desperately try to sleep and around 2am it still did not let up. I mean, continuous howling you could hear throughout the entire courtyard. I tried calling the front desk three more times, no answer. I went to the front desk to find out that no one works there from midnight-6am. I told the security guard and his manager I had to check out because the barking was making me insane. I originally booked a two night stay. Now THIS is where the terrible service starts! The night security manager told me I would have to call on Monday to ask to speak to Clay about a refund. I called THREE TIMES and left messages with front desk staff. NO call back. I emailed. No response. I finally saw that my charge did not go through because I was checking my account every day. THEN, I see that they charged me a cancellation fee! I emailed the front desk for a second time to confirm that I would be getting a refund and they said they were charging me a cancellation fee for leaving at 2am. As if I had a choice!!! Truly the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. DO NOT stay there if you can help it.
