“After a condescending experience at a different mattress retailer in Sewell, NJ, my wife and I went to this location looking for a new affordable king size mattress and box spring for our bedroom. It was here that we had a fun and friendly experience with Joe -a representative who usually works at the Deptford store, but was filling in for the day. Joe was a breath of fresh air. He listened, was understanding, and extremely helpful. He walked us through the selection process (which was awesome!) and we left there knowing we made the right decision. “Not only a beautiful collection of light fixtures and related merchandise in the store -- and even more in catalogs that very helpful store associates can help navigate -- but UNPARALLED customer service after the sale is made. When I attempted to replace a light bulb in a now discontinued fixture I purchased at L&SW 5 years ago (April 2018), I discovered that the supplied tool needed to take the fixture apart to replace the bulb was nowhere to be found. A call to the manufacturer was useless. I then called L&SW hoping for some guidance or idea on how to solve this problem. I spoke to Lorraine, who could not have been more patient or sympathetic. I know that she had several phone calls with the manufacturer and finally arranged for them to send me a replacement tool at no charge. I've purchased several lovely light fixtures and ceiling fans from L&SW -- all good experiences -- but this level of customer service is unfortunately not so common anymore and really sets L&SW apart and above the competition. Highly recommend!”

“Dennis helped me make the right decision on a new bedroom set. I came back the next day and had help from Benny to find me the right mattress. So far I’m very pleased with my new set. These are staff that really care about their customers, not pushy, and very understanding of trying to find a price within my budget, but still high quality. Also have to give credit to the delivery guys who were amazing and worked very efficiently. Moved all the new and old furniture in and out of the house within 15 minutes! Ivan was great and very friendly on the phone. He told me he had to order our couch and it could take 2 weeks but it could be sooner. 3 days later we got a call to set up delivery for the next day!! Luis and Fabian were amazing themselves! They got the couch up the stairs, set up and cleaned up all in less than 10 minutes flat. Overall, I will be ordering from them again! “I went to Doughty’s to see and lay on a specific mattress. Antoinette started by showing me the mattress I had asked for but then presented me with two additional options that she felt would better address my issues. She was right! Both options were more supportive and more comfortable than the mattress I was originally looking for and BOTH OF HER SUGGESTIONS WERE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EXPENSIVE! I don’t usually enjoy shopping for furniture as I feel that salespeople hound you and never let you just look around. Antoinette has perfected her approach to provide guidance and assistance in the shopping experience while still giving me the freedom to wander on my own without any pressure. I highly recommend Doughty’s when you are looking for a new mattress and do yourself a favor and ask for Antoinette. You won’t regret it.”
