My wife had a C-section, I dropped off her prescription at Carteret Walgreens pharmacy and by the time I came back to pick up the medication. The pharmacy closed for Covid emergency, and according to the store manager, the store has nothing to do with the pharmacy. Ok fine, where is the medication..nothing.. where is the prescription to take it somewhere else...nothing. So the pharmacy closed for their emergency and didn't care about anybody else. Now it is my emergency.... We can't get in contact with the doctor for several hours now so we can get a nother prescription.I called Walgreens customer service and after 45 minutes finally someone answered, explained the situation, she said I will get someone to help, waited another 15 minutes then she hung up the phone. It is funny that there are companies like that nowadays.

I like this place, staff is always friendly but Corporate please install some self-checkout machines. These lines are ridiculous. Goodness CVS is ahead of you with self-check-out machines, get them installed soon, so I can come back to Walgreens. Will come back when you have the self check-out machines. Talk to the manager in Staten Island (10309) how to get them ✌?

Obviously their pharmacy hasn't improved one bit looking at all the other posts. My husband, my daughter, and I went there yesterday for flu shots. You can not walk in, you HAVE to have an appt. Our first appt was for 10:10. We went there specifically for the eggless Flucelvax. My husband called the night before to make sure they had it. They told us to come early. We got there at 9:55am. The place was packed. One lady was there at 9:30. The website says open at 9am. When we got there the pharmacy was locked up tight with a homemade sign posted saying they didn't open until 10am. Huh? So we waited and waited. They got there to open at 10:15 and everybody was already super pissed. We finally got to the counter and they told us, no Flucelvax. My husband was beyong livid. Then someone in the back looked in the fridge again and said they had it. We checked in and sat back down. 30 min later, they called us in and said they gave the last Flucelvax 8:45pm the night before and mis-read the label in the fridge So you can't read? We're completely irritated and then I said, just give the regular shot to my husband and daughter, so they take my paperwork out and tell them to wait. We wait another 15 min and then see other people going in who came after us. My husband went back to the window to find out what was going on with his and my daughter's shot and they tell him, "Oh sorry, we took all three of you out of the queue." So we were basically waiting for something that was never going to happen. I thought my husband was going to combust! We had basically wasted 1 1/2 hours FOR NOTHING! He said some choice words outloud and then we left. I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM TO DO ANYTHING. Avoid this disorganized mess of a pharmacy at all costs! The worst!

The Walgreens itself is Ok. I'm used to the Walgreens in Perth Amboy it's 24/7 and I never had a problem with my medications or getting them. Walgreens in Carteret on the other hand they always tell me to come back in 30mins and my meds still won't be ready. They leave you on hold forever, there has even been times where they picked up said to hold and ended up hanging up on me. The website says they open at 7am but the pharmacy really doesn't open until 10am. Witch doesn't make much sense to me, thought the whole point of Walgreens was for your prescriptions. In case of an emergency don't go to this Walgreens.

The store itself is fine, but the pharmacy tech (don't know his name) is an absolute j**** As abrasive as steel wool. No people skills whatsoever. Not sure why he is in this profession since you are dealing with people. It's sucks but I'm going to have to go to the place next door moving forward. Disappointing.
