Stop and Shop isn't typically my grocery stop by default.. but this location serves its purpose during those times when I want to run in and out and have absolutely no crowd or line. I LOVE that option. Especially around the holidays when everyone decides they need to be in the grocery store. I find this location, clean with friendly associates. Prices tend to be higher at Stop and Shop than some of the others stores, but not enough where it will break the bank. I also have grown fond of their Nature's Promise collection... love their gluten free chicken nuggets and sriracha hot sauce. Nice selection of baked goods in the bakery section.

4 stars based on their handling of the volume surge at local supermarkets in the area. Shelves were well stocked and their employees were still friendly and helpful.

First, read my reviews, scroll through see my style, I lean towards the positive, not much I complain about, ok walking into this location overheard a Mgr (a younger blond) berating an employee while on a personal cell phone call about cleaning up garbage while the young man was cleaning up garbage, give a person a title and they feel entitled to be disrespectful of others? Not good, go on to meat section many grey unappealing steaks (should have snapped a pic) Onto deli three people in line so I use Kiosk, people are served leave and I'm expecting soon after to receive the text saying my order ready, three clerks now serving no one, ok forget my beloved Boars head baloney, I'll get it in NY (why Shop-rite, why no good cold cuts? Why must I go elsewhere otherwise we love thee!!!) ok Baloney was my whole point of traveling 20 min from Parlin, get to register sans baloney and have the grumpiest cashier ever, asked 4 times if my bonus card registered and finally received a response on the 4th, Stop n Shop Oldbridge never again, and I finally received text baloney ready when I was already home!

I'm not a big Stop and Shop fan. They do sell good products, but I've always found it a cold, dirty, and unwelcoming place. The store is large, and is at good prices. What annoyed me with this particular visit was that it smelled like someone brought a dog in the store. It reeked. Staff isn't very knowledgable about where everything is. I ended up finding the things that I need that the staff described in the wrong way. Every aisle though is marked in an easy to find manner. It is actually to navigate for a large store, but staff isn't friendly or know where anything in the store is.

I'm a regular customer at shop and stop in East Brunswick. Normally I always have a good experience while shopping here. Several times I have seen people complain about an older woman with very short hair who is very very difficult to be around and is very rude to the customers. Never once did I ever complain about her just ignored her. Today unfortunately while I was in self check out the machine kept stopping this particular woman was working the self check out and had to help me. Instead of helping me she decided to be rude and tell me it's my problem and if more people would listen to what the machine was trying to tell them she wouldn't have to keep coming over. Never the less I was appalled. I cannot believe anyone in customer service would be so blatantly rude. shop and stop wake up there are many people behind her that would be more than happy to take a job. Why have somebody behind the counter that clearly is not a people person and difficult to be around.

This store is one of the most unfriendly stores! I walked in there walked passed two cashiers, one deli manager and two people on the floor by meats and bakery not one good morning or even a smile! This store is excruciating to walk in especially in the morning! They all walk around like they don't want you there and wish they were not there! That why I rarely will walk in there. During the weekend its ok. but morning is a very unwelcoming experiencing!

Stood in front of the deli counter this afternoon (3pm), while 3 workers ignored me. I continued to wait as they packaged to-go packages. No one greeted me- no one even made eye-contact. I stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for cheese, mind you I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I leaned over to counter, still they ignored me. I finally said "Thanks for your help", which they ignored too and I walked away. This is why I will go to ShopRite from now on.

Prices are good and flowers are always gorgeous. Only 3 stars though because the kids they hire to work check out are inattentive & plain rude. I asked one kid what aisle Epsom salt was on and he looked at me like I had nine heads and just said "Ummmm?... No idea" .... Really?

Prices are not that great here. Shoprite east brunswick has better pricing overall and a better bakery. Overall freshness and quality isnt bad though.

Prices tend to be considerably higher than ShopRite or Wegmans, and choices are not as numerous as ShopRite or Wegmans. Store is kept very clean, staff & management are very friendly and accommodating..Deli counter prices are over priced, & under staffed. That being said, the deli counter staff are absolutely fabulous, accommodating & a pleasure to deal with.Fruits and vegetables are below par & a smidge over priced. If you don't want to wait on the punishing lines at ShopRite(East Brunswick) , this is a great alternative to consider.

Stop and Shop prices aren't all that. Unless they had an insane sale, it's not worth shopping at, and especially at this location. They do have coupons, but their new minimum is $25 which is kind of a lot if you don't need to buy a lot. Random: I compared their Fage tub of yogurt to the prices in NY, and it was more money. Seriously? More than NY?! One possible pro is that they are always so empty, so you can shop leisurely, peacefully, no running into other carts, or even another person down an aisle. Also when you're checking out, maybe another person or so ahead of you, but that hasn't happened to me a lot, whenever I come here. Self-checkout is straightforward and their machines seem to work a lot better than other Stop and Shop locations. And since it's so dead here, a worker is always kind of milling around to help you if you have questions. Their produce can be kind of lackluster which is why I don't enjoy coming here unless I needed something super urgently. I was happy to see green peppers on sale for 99 cents/lb, and tomatoes for $1.49/lb, but they were soft and wrinkly. However, the squash and cucumbers were good, albeit a little small. The organic apples felt firm when I did the squeeze test, but when I ate them, there were some brown spots on the inside. Not quite rotting, but not the same color as the rest of the apple, so I had to strategically bite around it. That was a bit weird. Also small selection of organic produce -- found a few packaged red peppers. And there is not an abundance of anything -- the bins or compartments are not full and brimming of produce. Scattered apples or limes. Did they sell out? Or do they not stock enough? Which is it?!? Their donuts and rolls looked good. I saw a cute glazed donut, like a bear paw, where you can pull off the "fingers" AKA munchkins, and I was about to get one, or two...but then I saw a fly buzzing around, before landing on a muffin, and I said forget it and walked away. They have one Redbox machine. Big parking lot. Can ALWAYS find parking, and probably very close because despite the fact that there are other businesses sharing the same lot, it's just not a popular spot.

Great store. Always empty. Thus, it's a pleasurable shopping experience. Like very their selection of produce and the whole isle dedicated to organic n natural foods. It's wholefoods goods at less of an expense. If u r into good quality food at a fair price, then this is place.

I stopped there on my way home from the Brunswick Square Mall, I don't normally shop there. It seemed clean and well stocked. That night I unwrapped a piece of brie cheese I had bought there. Half of it was soggy and bad. I chalked it up to a bad piece. The next day I noticed that my sealed cheddar was also developing mold. And the latest, I defrosted a lamb roast that I bought there and had to throw it away. It stunk! I guess that's why it was on sale. :( Needless to say, I won't go there again.
