The supermarket used to be very good with the produce. But recently been finding more and more produce that's older and rotten. Surprised to see that. But otherwise good normally.

Stop in couple times a week. Can be a little pricey. Great produce and meats. Store manager isn’t friendly and appears to only great certain shoppers. Could be me however I’ve noticed this more than one occasion. Customer Service is friendly.

Great selection, good amount of organic and Vegan/vegetarian options. Produce is fresh.

Best Stop & Shop store between Freehold and New Brunswick. Consistently clean (very important to me), well stocked shelves, excellent produce section, great bakery, and pleasant customer service focused employees. The only complaint I used to have about this store was the bad pot holes in the parking lot, but even that has been fixed with a very nice repaving job done earlier this year.

Stop & Shop is well stocked with quality food. The staff is courteous and helpful. There is ample parking for all.

Not my usual place to shop. However my otherwise positive, quick trip was ruined by an outdated restroom, badly in need of repair. The toilet paper dispenser was broken, so you have to hold the roll in place while you take what you need. NOT very sanitary. Who knows how many hands have touched it, plus the (pardon me for saying) inevitable spray from flushing a toilet. Gross. I used the Kleenex in my purse instead. Disposable seat covers would be nice. I thought they'd become common at busy places like this.

They have great sales but they are more expensive than ShopRite however I've noticed they're all getting that way so to help urself sign up to the stores app and that way u can get the digital coupons too. Same for Walgreens who just bought out Rite aid. Hope I helped some.

I'm a regular customer at shop and stop in East Brunswick. Normally I always have a good experience while shopping here. Several times I have seen people complain about an older woman with very short hair who is very very difficult to be around and is very rude to the customers. Never once did I ever complain about her just ignored her. Today unfortunately while I was in self check out the machine kept stopping this particular woman was working the self check out and had to help me. Instead of helping me she decided to be rude and tell me it's my problem and if more people would listen to what the machine was trying to tell them she wouldn't have to keep coming over. Never the less I was appalled. I cannot believe anyone in customer service would be so blatantly rude. shop and stop wake up there are many people behind her that would be more than happy to take a job. Why have somebody behind the counter that clearly is not a people person and difficult to be around.

This store is one of the most unfriendly stores! I walked in there walked passed two cashiers, one deli manager and two people on the floor by meats and bakery not one good morning or even a smile! This store is excruciating to walk in especially in the morning! They all walk around like they don't want you there and wish they were not there! That why I rarely will walk in there. During the weekend its ok. but morning is a very unwelcoming experiencing!

Stood in front of the deli counter this afternoon (3pm), while 3 workers ignored me. I continued to wait as they packaged to-go packages. No one greeted me- no one even made eye-contact. I stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for cheese, mind you I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I leaned over to counter, still they ignored me. I finally said "Thanks for your help", which they ignored too and I walked away. This is why I will go to ShopRite from now on.

Nice store. Aisle are wide and clear of clutter. Cashiers are friendly! Reasonably priced on most items except the coldcuts! They are ridiculously expensive and the staff is extremely slow and look half a sleep most of the time! The seafood department is quiet small ,dark, and dingy!

Nice, clean, and we'll lit. Sometimes a bit short on cashier's. Produce is good. Selection is pretty good. Have a pharmacy now also. parking is excellent. Wish they had a few more handicapped spots available. Prices are somewhat competitive with neighboring stores.

A pretty good stocked grocery store. Prices are comparable to other grocery stores. They have fresh fruit and vegetables, an average seafood and meat market. I tend to buy what I may need for today's meal but go to other places to get better selection of meat and seafood for planned meals throughout the week. The bakery has a good selection. They have a select salad bar and soup area. Not usually over crowded. Check the weekly specials..usually some great deals.

Prices are good and flowers are always gorgeous. Only 3 stars though because the kids they hire to work check out are inattentive & plain rude. I asked one kid what aisle Epsom salt was on and he looked at me like I had nine heads and just said "Ummmm?... No idea" .... Really?

Prices are not that great here. Shoprite east brunswick has better pricing overall and a better bakery. Overall freshness and quality isnt bad though.

Prices tend to be considerably higher than ShopRite or Wegmans, and choices are not as numerous as ShopRite or Wegmans. Store is kept very clean, staff & management are very friendly and accommodating..Deli counter prices are over priced, & under staffed. That being said, the deli counter staff are absolutely fabulous, accommodating & a pleasure to deal with.Fruits and vegetables are below par & a smidge over priced. If you don't want to wait on the punishing lines at ShopRite(East Brunswick) , this is a great alternative to consider.

Stop and Shop prices aren't all that. Unless they had an insane sale, it's not worth shopping at, and especially at this location. They do have coupons, but their new minimum is $25 which is kind of a lot if you don't need to buy a lot. Random: I compared their Fage tub of yogurt to the prices in NY, and it was more money. Seriously? More than NY?! One possible pro is that they are always so empty, so you can shop leisurely, peacefully, no running into other carts, or even another person down an aisle. Also when you're checking out, maybe another person or so ahead of you, but that hasn't happened to me a lot, whenever I come here. Self-checkout is straightforward and their machines seem to work a lot better than other Stop and Shop locations. And since it's so dead here, a worker is always kind of milling around to help you if you have questions. Their produce can be kind of lackluster which is why I don't enjoy coming here unless I needed something super urgently. I was happy to see green peppers on sale for 99 cents/lb, and tomatoes for $1.49/lb, but they were soft and wrinkly. However, the squash and cucumbers were good, albeit a little small. The organic apples felt firm when I did the squeeze test, but when I ate them, there were some brown spots on the inside. Not quite rotting, but not the same color as the rest of the apple, so I had to strategically bite around it. That was a bit weird. Also small selection of organic produce -- found a few packaged red peppers. And there is not an abundance of anything -- the bins or compartments are not full and brimming of produce. Scattered apples or limes. Did they sell out? Or do they not stock enough? Which is it?!? Their donuts and rolls looked good. I saw a cute glazed donut, like a bear paw, where you can pull off the "fingers" AKA munchkins, and I was about to get one, or two...but then I saw a fly buzzing around, before landing on a muffin, and I said forget it and walked away. They have one Redbox machine. Big parking lot. Can ALWAYS find parking, and probably very close because despite the fact that there are other businesses sharing the same lot, it's just not a popular spot.

Great store. Always empty. Thus, it's a pleasurable shopping experience. Like very their selection of produce and the whole isle dedicated to organic n natural foods. It's wholefoods goods at less of an expense. If u r into good quality food at a fair price, then this is place.

I stopped there on my way home from the Brunswick Square Mall, I don't normally shop there. It seemed clean and well stocked. That night I unwrapped a piece of brie cheese I had bought there. Half of it was soggy and bad. I chalked it up to a bad piece. The next day I noticed that my sealed cheddar was also developing mold. And the latest, I defrosted a lamb roast that I bought there and had to throw it away. It stunk! I guess that's why it was on sale. :( Needless to say, I won't go there again.

I love this store. I feel like it's a hidden gem!! You can come here at ANY time, even before a snow storm and it's always empty!! Such a huge difference from Shop Rite. Though I prefer Shop Rite prices, I don't mind paying extra to deal with no lines! It's like the store is all mine!! I will say there is usually one or two items that aren't in stock, so I can never complete my entire shopping list, but again, I could care less. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with the products being sold here, especially the produce. Always fresh. One of my biggest issues with grocery shopping is having to fight lines and find parking, that does not exist here. The store is really clean and staff is friendly. There is a PNC bank here too, which is where I bank. Convenient! If you lack patience, this is definitely a store for you to shop in.

Great produce, fish and overall good value. I always save money and time shopping here. I love the price guns and other tools .. the only minus is they stopped giving back five cents each reusable bag.

Yeah I'm going 4 stars. A lot of people associate this with the old A&P that was over priced. If you do the homework Stop and Shop has really good deals. I got coupons recently for $5 off $15 1 a week for 3 weeks. I got coupons for Free Bread, Orange Juice, Sugar, Flour, Egg's, and Butter....all with no purchase necessary! What really takes them up to the 4th star is the Deli. Boar's fugin Head. They have every Boar's Head specialty cheese and meat possible. The one time I strayed from Boar's Head at Stop and Shop I got store brand Roast Beef on sale and it was awesome. Of course I asked them to show me it first and it was amazingly rare all red except for about a half inch around the perimeter. The people behind the slicers know what "Slice it thin" mean also. Thin, but not shredded if you know what I mean.
