A hidden gem for grocery shopping in Edgewater! ACME Markets on River Road is my go-to for a clean, well-stocked, and genuinely pleasant shopping experience. The store layout is intuitive, making it easy to find everything from fresh produce to specialty items. Their bakery and deli are standouts—custom cakes, party trays, and Boar’s Head selections make entertaining a breeze.
The staff are courteous and helpful, and I love that they offer convenient services like online order-ahead, grocery delivery, and DriveUp & Go™. The pharmacy team is knowledgeable and efficient, and the floral department always has beautiful arrangements that feel upscale without the boutique price tag.

This acme is ok but if you have to do a return at customer service be mindful you may need to wait a ridiculous amount of time because they also do western union transfers.

I was on my way home from New York City and I decided to stop here to pick up a few things. As I was walking the aisles to see what else I needed, the very rude man behind the seafood counter called Ramon started harassing me for no reason. he starts telling me that there’s something wrong with me that I need to be on antipsychotic medication that I to have a job like he does, even though he doesn’t know what I do for a living. I will not be back to the store ever again.

I have been shopping here for years. But we will stop because it has become quite difficult to checkout. clearly to cut cost I assume management is forcing customers to do self checkout. imagine you purchased more than 50 different items and you have to scan or select each from a menu and get locked out multiple times doing it. there is only one overwhelmed staff member to help unlock you through your 15minute ordeal.
goodbye. we will take our money elsewhere. keep cutting costs and loosing business

Attentive to their customers needs. He took the time of calling me to make sure that the birthday balloons I ordered for my brother & my sister’s birthday last May 31, 2025 would be prepared as beautiful it can be. Turns out its even more wonderful than I’ve expected! Both my brother & my sister we’re so happy! Thank you so much to the Store Manager and the entire staff of ACME at River Road, Edgewater!!!! You guys are amazing!
