On Saturday, October 14, 2023 I called the pharmacy and asked to speak to a manager regarding my blood pressure medication. I was out of refills and my doctor did not respond in four days. The fourth day I was getting migraines on top of not having my pressure medicine. I had the pleasure of speaking with Whitney. Hope I’m spelling it correctly. But anyways, I explained to her everything that was going on, and she took the time to pull up my information informing me that I had refills from March/ May that she can fill for me so I wouldn’t get worse waiting for the doctor’s approval. She’s helped me before with the same situation, and I just wanted to let Stop and Shop at 801 Newark Ave in Elizabeth Nj know that they really have a caring person working for them there. She could’ve just said they’re still waiting for the approval, but she went that extra mile to make sure I was able to get my meds, and had it ready 30 minutes later before she took lunch. Thank u so much Whitney! ?

Stop and shop has good deal and if you buy the deals then the price is not that bad. But it is a pricey supermarket but there are convenient to shop at and the customer service varies from store to store.

I witnessed a girl working in the bakery lick her glove And then proceed to handle the baked goods there is mold on the bread that grocery store is disgusting also make sure you check your product most of them are outdated

Always out of store brand cat food, frequently out of store brand dog food and paper towels. Have the nerve to raise prices several times on the same items Bakery cakes are mediocre and expensive.I'm going to Walmart for most of the stuff I buy from now on. Since the pandemic the number of shoppers has dropped a lot, I'm another one getting off the boat.

Horrible service. Young lady behind the register was putting her finger in her mouth...are you serious??!! In the middle of a pandemic, and handling people items. Very nasty, and I definitely complained to the manager

When I moved to a Stop and Shop pharmacy Iknew right away that Union would be the best fit pharmacy for me, although Elizabeth was between work and home. I just loved all the Union pharmacists, friendly, professional, someone i could talk and ask questions, attentive they became a family, no lines, my pharmacist knew exactly my medication needs, and she was on top of it.Once they close, was very stressful for me, but I decided to continue with Stop an Shop and now moved to Elizabeth.I was just trying to call them to make sure my doctor send them my medication, that phone rang and rang when they picked up was to hang up the phone on me.I suffer from migraines I stress not to have my medication, stress is the #1 cause of my migraines, it's getting worse now. I don't receive alters when my medicine is ready to refill, don't receive alerts when my doctor's sent prescription and the medication is ready when I call it's a forever waiting or they hang up. I was trying to find out if i needed to call my doctor again in case she forgot to send the prescription, but i guess i have to wait in a line talk to someone in the pharmacy to find out if my doctor send the prescription or not, than if not, call the doctor, and wait again, and this will be probably a 2hr minimum wait, i know, it happen before. I get up to work everyday at 3am the last thing i want to do is to wait at the pharmacy with all this digital modernized world we are in!I do understand that Union was a much smaller pharmacy! But Elizabeth needs changes!

Went there almost ten years. Past year ever since they reshuffled new staff it’s been nothing but problems. From missing pills, to refills not being done despite me calling the night before, to having to wait over an hour in store despite me being the only person at the counter, to the overall attitude of the staff.Finally had it and went to another pharmacy nearer to my doctor’s office and was cursed out on the phone by the lead pharmacist.Worse even still was not even being notified about them starting to give out COVID vaccines despite them knowing about my medical history and me being on a notification list for it.I would not go to this place again and honestly, I don’t miss it. I’m glad I’m with a competent pharmacy now.

Not the cheapest place for groceries but this Stop & Shop will suffice when looking for last minute items. It's a fairly decent size and for the most part it looks clean and tidy. It can get extremely busy during the usual afternoon or weekend rush hour. Their pharmacy employees are the best and it's the main reason why I come here. The bakery usually has a good variety of cakes and they do taste pretty good. If you go during the day there's usually someone that can write a custom message on your cake. They also have plenty of custom cake options.In the last couple of years they've renovated their aisles and they even have a section that is gears towards specialty "healthy food" options. The kind of items you'd find at a Wegmans or Whole Foods.If you're in the area and need to get some groceries then I'd say give them a try. They also have a self checkout option!

This is the best supermarket and pharmacy in union County NJ I've been coming here for years and I love the pharmacy, cashier, like CHRISTIAN AND ERIC AND LISA I HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN A WHILE HOPE HER AND HER FAMILY ARE DOING GREAT, PHARMACISTS, DIANE, DEBRA, SAMANTHA, AND OF COURSE ANA,THEY BEND BACKWARDS FOR YOU THERE NOT GOING TO BREAK THERE BACKS, IF YOU WANT THAT YOUR AND IDIOT ,WELL ANYWAY THERE THE BEST TO ME MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, THE YOUNG LADY THAT WORKS IN THE BEAUTY AND OTC MEDICEN AISLES, SHE SO PROFESSIONAL AND GREAT ATTUIDE, IF YOU DON'T SEE WHAT YOU WANT AND TELL HER, SHE WILL HELP TO THE FULLEST OF HER ABILITIES,GOD BLESS THEM AND THERE FAMILY'S, THANKS AGAIN.

They made my wife waited for an hour. When my wife called up to follow up they kept passing her call to one another. Enjoying the time that they are making it harder for her. They didn't know we were there and observing them how they reacted when my spouse called. Just after I posted my review. They called so nice saying it's ready. That is after they wanted to charge my wife of $79.99 by misrepresenting it's only $7.99 if my wife didn't read what she is signing, they already got the money. Please don't go to this discriminating pharmacy and unfriendly and extremely unprofessional staff.

The service is extremely unprofessional and the staff are not helpful. They are disrespectful and unfriendly. I asked them to please contact the clinic to fax them the insurance card I forgot in the doctor's office. They pretended they cannot understand my request. When I requested it again and finally they understood, they didn't call the clinic at once but waited for an hour of rush hour 12 noon lunch break. They denied the information given to them saying that they needed more information when in fact the doctor's clinic was already saying that they don't need a BIN number. Their staff are students who do not know how to say in English $79.99 but saying $7.99 so they can trick us to paying instead of waiting to get my insurance card. I understand it is not their job to get the information for my insurance card, however, given the pandemic being exposed to clinic again when it was the doctor who forgot to return the insurance card, a little friendly help would go a long way instead of making it so difficult for their customers. On top pf that, when I called them and realizing it was me to give the information they needed, I ended up going home disinfecting again and calling my insurance foe the information, they kept hanging me 6 times whenever they hear my voice and ask who I am, they will pass to another staff then hang up. Please don't use this pharmacy if you don't want to be treated by incompetent, unprofessional and unfriendly staff.
