My daughter was shopping for a prom dress. She found 7 that she loved on Azaria’s website last week so we booked a one hour prom appointment. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted by a young girl who checked us in and asked what styles we liked, color, etc. I provided her with the list of Amara style numbers that she brought to a manager to look up in the system. Unfortunately every single one was discontinued and no longer available. I said it’s prom season and these gowns are all shown on your website!! She said “yeah we haven’t had a chance to update it!” … the girl went on to grab some other dresses for my daughter to try on. I expected the salesgirl would assist her in putting the gowns on and off and properly fitting them … but I was told that I could do that. There was absolutely no customer service, no help and I asked several times if she could please assist… she barely helped and the entire experience was miserable. I was doing all the work which I am fine with in general but I certainly expected this to be a bit more service driven given we needed a special appointment and let’s face it, we are shopping for a gown, not a pair of jeans. My daughter found a gown she loved but was so frustrated by the experience that we had little faith in the rest of the process. We left the store and went elsewhere … she found several gowns she loved and ultimately purchased one with exceptional service and no appointment. I won’t return to Azaria.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Bought my dress from here in November 2023 for my January 2024 wedding (they were aware of the time restraint and the last minute planned wedding assuring us that they would be able to do everything for us in time) and was told it would be in within a month with the additional fabric to make custom sleeves on it. At that time of sale we were told the alterations would be included in the price we paid. Dress came in end of December and was delayed by 2 weeks, no fabric came with it. The fabric for the sleeves (the whole point of buying the dress from them) was never shipped. Was told the fabric would not be in until January 10th. My wedding was January 27th… I was informed as well when picking up the dress that management of the store had changed and that anything that was discussed with the previous management would not be able to honored and that there was nothing they could do about the sleeves. Then quoted me $1500 for the alterations through a third party company they partner with. Seamstress was also extremely rude. They ordered the dress in a size too big so it needed more alterations therefore more money for them. Took my dress to Trendz who quoted me at half the amount for alterations than this shady business. When the fabric came in finally it was extra fabric cut off from the train of another dress and was not the 2 full yards that was discussed and paid for at the point of sale. After multiple attempts to contact the new manager we spoke with her and she insistent that there was nothing that could be done and if we needed more fabric it would have to be paid for which was insane since we paid for 2 full yards of fabric and did not receive what was paid for. She finally decided to order new fabric for me after my mom got involved and mentioned letting people know how terrible the experience has been. The extra fabric finally came in 10 days before my wedding. They have many dress options but customer service is what makes or breaks it for me and they caused me so much distress in this process that they assured at the beginning would be an easy and seamless process. You could not pay me enough to purchase anything from these people ever again. Go literally anywhere else. No like the prices were better anyway.

I went in to Azaria in hopes of finding my wedding dress but I had absolutely no vision of what I wanted for myself. Alexa and Andrea were extremely helpful and patient. Thank you to everyone who helped me find my dream dress!

Luanne was my helper and she had so much patience for all the dresses my family wanted me to try on, she even picked out a few good suggestions herself! It was a wonderful experience and I found my dress without breaking my wallet!

Beyond terrible experience. I went to Azaria Freehold mall on January 28th, 2024. I had nine bridesmaids with me to try on wedding dresses that day. I had booked four hours of appointment times so I could try on dresses and so my bridesmaids could all try on dresses which in my eyes is a lot of business to be given to this company. Since I am the bride, and it was my first time, trying on wedding dresses, I expected the most magical experience of a lifetime, I got employees attitude who did not want to help me at all. My whole bridal party was scrambling, running around the store dresses off of the mannikins, and handing them to the girl to the where the girl told my friends Their help to even put my dress on because no other employee was in sight? The employee could clearly tell that I was not happy with some of the dresses that were being given to me, and I had a specific vision, which she did not go above, and beyond to help me accomplish that there is one dress, specifically that I found myself and took off the mannequin and I wanted to retry on because I thought it was potentially the one she then came into the dressing room and told me to wrap it up and I only have 30 minutes left. Like I said I double booked so I could go into my bridesmaids time a little bit and you can’t wrap up quickly the most important dress of your life. I was so beyond hurt by the experience, but I wasn’t gonna let that allow me to not get the dress of my dreams. My mom and I then go to check out the pricing of the dress and order it for them to tell me that it is not in stock, and it is no longer able to be ordered. I started to cry, and how cruel it was to have a dress on a manikin on display that you cannot order. Who does that? Who has a girl try on a dress with a negative experience as it is and then when you go and check out, the dress is no longer available for order? You should take the bride back have her try on as many dresses as she wants Or at least figure out a way to accommodate her. I got Nobel. I got no she said yes to the dress sign. I got no clapper cheer I got I’ll take you to the register and take your money. Azaria bridal of freehold lost thousand yesterday of business due to my experience.

I was here this past Sunday for a friends wedding dress try on. The entire experience was horrible. We had an 11am appt and were all standing around until about 11:30 because the stylist wasn’t able to give any help. My friend has tried on multiple dresses and kept saying she liked certain tops with different bottoms, the stylist didn’t pick out a single dress for her to try on. Only the bridal party was giving her dresses to try because we didn’t have any other help. While trying on one of her dresses the manager came into the fitting room and told her she needed to hurry up. She did find a beautiful dress on her own that she loved! It was on display in the store. After trying the dress on she was told they might not be able to get it. Why bother having a dress on display if you can’t order it?? When she did say yes to the dress there was no sign or bell that a previous friend had experienced in the same store. I tried to express my concerns to the manger on duty and she was very dismissive, saying she had to over see the prom dress try ons. Why make an appt if there is not an appropriate amount of staff to accommodate? She told me someone stole the bell a few days prior. This store in located in the mall with a dollar store, why not go buy another bell if you know you have bridal parties coming in?? The entire experience was a disappointment.

I came here for my wedding dress… had a pleasant experience the first time i was here years ago buying my sweet 16 dress, but every employee on the bridal side ignored me, and didn’t offer help. after a while i felt unappreciated and judged for being a young bride and left after not being able to experience the joys of wedding dress trying like everyone else

I had a mother of the bride appointment and I got NO help from the girl that was assigned to me. As a matter of fact, while I was in the dressing room trying on dresses I picked out (she didn’t suggest anything) she disappeared. I was looking for her to see if she could suggest something and I couldn’t find her so I left

I recently went there to pick up my wedding dress. It was put into a room. I was told to go into the room. I was there with my fiancés two daughters and one of their friends. We stood there looking at each other. One of the daughters went asked to see what we were supposed to do. The young girl was on Snapchat , came back and said “try it on, come out the seamstress will be out when you are ready.” I tried the dress on, we stood back there, we waited around for about 10-15 minutes, she came back towards the 15 minutes part asked how we were doing, I told here I would take it somewhere else. I wasn’t about to pay for a service for something that people didn’t want me to have. I’ll take the business someplace else. When we walk out she said she had to put it in a different bag. I ordered this dress in April, it was supposed to be here in November and NO ONE ever called to let me know that it was in.

Alterations more expensive than the actual dress cost! Make sure you get an approximate alteration estimate or YOU WILL BE SHOCKED!

Lovely shop with an impressive selection. The lady that helped us, Luanne, was so friendly and easy to work with. She was very patient with us as we picked out many, many dresses to try on, and she even had some excellent suggestions herself. We found the perfect dress and had a great experience!

Luann helped me find the perfect Mother of the Groom gown for my only son's wedding. She is very professional, she listens to her customers, and made the appointment extremely pleasant. Thank you, Luann!
