John does such great work and is such a nice man. His shop is clean and beautiful. A joy to find someone who can truly repair things and enjoys his craft. He re-soled my RedWing boots. Beautiful job and they are ready for another year of construction work.

Unbelievable. Asked to pay upfront but when it’s time for pick up, no one was there and store was closed even though sign says open at 8:30am. Waited 1hr and multiple unanswered phone calls still no one showed up. BTW this is John’s shoe repair. The previous Ben’s shop was much more reliable but he retired.Think twice if you value your time and gas. So frustrating!

Out of towner with a boot emergency. Called about a boot repair and they said they would do it. Drove immediately to store. Store was closed with a sign saying open at 11:30! Wandered around for an hour and went back at 11:34. Sign had been changed to 7:30! At Randolph’s now and he is amazing and fixing my boots as we speak! Use Randolph’s if you are from this area!

I called him for stitching a pair of Allen Edmonds Belts, it just need an inch of stitch. The guy came across very rude; I asked him if he would do, he didn't even ask what kind or what it is and said NO in a rude manner.

Took a pair of hiking boots to there, where the sole had started coming off. More than fair price to re-glue it - and you know he has better blue, a press, etc. to adhere it; and he nailed it as well. He also stitched the front of both boots where there was other separation beginning - no extra charge.Happy to have a good local cobbler for shoes, luggage, etc. Thanks for taking the torch from Ben!

I have been going there for over 20 years. The quality bar-none. Very good craftsmanship. Old Ben retired. Now this skillful craftsman takes over. He was Ben's under study for many years. Good honest man.

Odd hours, and in a lowkey spot but phenomenal service. It was quick and my shoes feel like new. He also only said it was $14 so i gave him a $20 as he was incredibly kind. Great service, definitely worth stopping by to fix your shoes

I brought in two pairs of dress sandals for repair. John wanted to get pay first before it is done. So I paid him $30 for two pairs. when I went to pick it up. One of the pairs of sandals totally got ruined. which it only needed to glue the sole back to the shoes. His excuse is because it is too old. Then I said if you think it is too old then why you repaired it which I can't wear it anyway. He shouldn't of repaired it at all and return my money. He is terrible and I will never go back there again. I would of give him no star if it let me.
